i have had a couple of discussions about freewill lately but it seems as if i am talking to a brick wall.
here is my basic reasoning, perhaps you can point out what i am missing.. lets outline the 2 common assumptions normally associated with the debate concerning adam, god and freewill:.
2. god gave adam freewill to obey him or not to.

In reference to the struggle of God vs. Satan (for which an excellent point was made):
How can they be vying for control over our minds? Where's the freewill there?
But if we each choose by our own freewill whether to 'serve God or Satan', it would be less a battle and more of a coin toss. God calls heads, Satan calls tails. If the coin is weighted or either participant tries in other ways to alter the result in their favor, the result would not be fair.
So my idea of God vs. Satan is simply this:
Natural forces in the universe which compete yet have no personal stake in the outcome (i.e. enthalpy vs. entropy )

i suppose that if i were an avid reader of the various astronomy magazines available i'd have more of an understanding about this.
for quite some time i've wondered how astronomers must calculate that there are so many galaxies (although obviously they don't know the precise number).
i figure that it apparently has to do with first determining that certain points of light, visible through telescopes, are farther out than our own "milky way" galaxy.

Check out some info on Andromeda. It is the closest galaxy to the Milky Way and its star clusters are easily visible from Earth.

one of my best friends (who has also left the borg) gave me this a few years ago.
i think it's funnier than "hell.".
this was an "actual question" given on a university of washington chemistry midterm.. "is hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

I saw this a few years ago when I was a freshman in college... right around the birth of the internet. (by which I mean its rapid popularization as a source of information. when I was in high school the internet was hardly more than a storage place for obscure discussion boards. he he he)

Perhaps not that non-JWs would need to have more money. But there is that possibility, plus the extra attention she would get from a non-JW.
For example, I would not sit next to my ex-girlfriend at the k.h. She constantly asked me to, but I didn't think I could 'get away with it'. She definitely wanted more attention. Her social status therefore wasn't improved much by dating me.
But back to the money issue; as much as my ex said money wasn't important to her, it was. (I was a poor college student as well as a poor JW.) She would say stuff like 'you need a new car'. On what budget?
Since 99% of men choose money as their primary currency of attention-giving, the majority rules. It is easy for a non-JW with a few social skills and a little money to work his way into a woman's heart. (JW boys may tend to have a little less of one or the other )
