  I feel so sick, I think I am gonna die............

  i feel achy all over, like i've been runned over by a steam roller, my head pounds, like someone just keeps ringing a god damn bell in my ear, i'm shivering, freezing, but i got the heat turned way up, my temp is 102.5 and i think i am gonna die.. i hate being sick.

  i know i got the flu.

  how much did you enjoy it?.

  what i got out of it: i accepted that it was a choice of mine to leave jws.

  I am so surprised that no one has heard of this.

  Chances are you will hear about this 'educational program' soon from your acquaintances, so read up about it. I pulled some comments about it from:

  The combination of:
  a. Extremely intense courses
  b. Denial of proper rest
  c. Obedience through group pressure
  d. Confusion of the critical mind through wordplay might result in mental damage. People who lost their relatives, jobs, minds and lives due to the destructive nature of this combination. Of course, not all of the people lose it. Probably most of them don’t. But how can YOU be sure, if there is no medical supervision on participants? Tempering with the human mind is a potentially dangerous act. Some of those who survive become addicted to the Forum and continue to shell out money for complementary courses. After that there are advanced courses, the sky is the limit. Come to think of it, the size of your wallet is the limit.

  The Landmark Forum
  Marketing Techniques

  Two important processes are used in order to turn everyday people into obedient voluntary salesmen.
  a. Group pressure
  A large group of selected peers (Landmark selects after examination the people who will attend) is formed. They are placed closely together. This produces intimacy. It allows every participant instantly feel like part of a selected group of special people. This establishes the Forum as a positive and meaningful experience for everyone. The group is encouraged by carefully planted Landmark people inside the group. They trigger applause from the unsuspecting attendants. This establishes the supportive nature of the group. The attendants will leave the Forum with the feeling they are select and loved by others, therefore important.

  b. Wordplay, slogans and jargon
  Excellent use of the three above mentioned elements enhances the effect of the Forum over people. Wordplay is used to confuse people. An old use of confrontation, the way Socrates used to tease his students, is used to daze participants and tenderize their critical part of the mind. For example, a possible confrontation:
  - "What are you doing in life?"
  - "Work"
  - "Why?"
  - "In order to make money"
  - "Why is that?"
  - "So I could buy myself things"
  - "Like what?"
  - "Jewelry, a fancy car, travel places"
  - "What will that get you?"
  - "Happiness"
  - "Why can’t you be happy now?" (confusion, possible applauds)

  Slogans are used to establish the positive nature of the experience. For example "If you don’t want others to judge you, stop judging others", "Take charge of your life, instead of life taking charge of you", "Stop living in your past", "Leave up to your dreams", "Words are meaningless" (hidden contradiction - the use of words, like in this sentence, is essential to the Forum). Theses slogans are heavily borrowed from just about anywhere and are nice themselves, but become extremely fruitful when used with... Carefully selected jargon. Words like "Paradigm", "Breakthroughs", "Making a difference" etc. Why do I say "carefully selected"? Because the phrase "paradigm shift" could have been replaced by "breaking the limits", "border expanding". But no, since the Forum is aimed especially toward the White Collar, words like "paradigm" makes the average participant feel really at home. Use of Forum jargon further enhances the group, as it uplifts it above the rest of society. A secret language, or code, is formed, enigmatic to the outer world. If you want to understand how "to make a difference", you must attend the Forum. The overall effect is that nobody really knows, or can specifically describe what’s going on in the Forum. All that’s left is the wordplay, slogans and the jargon. They cover a rather vacuous philosophy. They sell well, though, and do not leave unpleasant suspicions about their hidden nature.

  So, anyone want to sign up?
  It is, by the way, a good way to see clearly how you were duped by the WT.

  Attracted To What Types?

  i tend to find myself attracted to the extremes.

  either woman who are very nice and sweet or woman who are wild and crazy.

  however, i don't like woman who are rude and have a lot of attitude.. many guys like blonds, but i tend to like dark haired woman better.

  I like women that look sweet also, but as we all at least pretend to understand, beauty is not a virtue.

  But about beauty, I admire contrast:

  blonde hair with brown eyes, brown hair with blue eyes, red hair with green eyes, etc...

  For the same reason, I like women with nice eyebrows.

  A nice smile can in fact say something good about a woman's personality.

  Talked with my "evil ex" today

  i spoke with my ex-wife at some length today, just telling her about what the state of florida is doing to me and threatening me with, and what my prospects for the future are, including the possibility of spending a few years in prison.. (for those who don't know the story, this has to do with a dramatic reduction in my income, which was not followed in a timely way by a corresponding reduction in my child support obligation.

  through a long series of misadventures, each compounding the previous one, i have gone from about $250,000 net worth to around $-100,000 nw in 5 years, and am now threatened with very dire consequences, including prison, by the legal system.

  while i don't try to deny or evade responsibility for my actions, i contend that this has been largely a result of misplacing my love and faith and trust.).

  Are you moving to Florida so that your assets cannot be seized?
  This doesn't sound like a pleasant trip.

  The ex may give you a hard time, but remind her that the child support is supposed to benefit the kids, not her. She most likely feels that you owe her something.

  What is most important is that you both look after the emotional needs of the children. For this, it takes more than money.

  I'm very sorry to hear about your situation.

  ok, so i admit to impliment this idea takes more balls than i've got but i know there are some crazy ex jws out there (no offence intended, i love you all!

  ) that it might appeal to.. that idea is streaking!!!!.

  i was watching a program on tv last night streaking (running butt naked into a crowded public arena) and perhaps mainly the uk members remember the stir caused by erica roe?.

  other than the kingdom songs i`m sure we must have squeezed in some time to listen to the radio between territories and on the way to the mettings.. my musical tastes vary from classical to heavy head banging music,basically i like everything!i love the cult,rush,van halen,boston,etc anything from the 80`s retro era.. but my favourite song would be everything counts by depech mode and she sells sanctuary by the cult!.

  I've had a liking lately for:

  Even before I found out officially, I was pretty sure that Dave Mustaine had been a JW. I suppose his mother still is.

  You can really hear this influence in a few of their newest songs (i.e. Promises)
