i think being raised as a 'witness' puts me in a unique 'class' (aka 'co-dependent ha ha).

now that i'm 41 (divorced, white, professional, female [mom]) i have discovered many things about why i have become the person i am.

How could we all get along better together???

without being slagged off for opinions expressed, without being ridiculed often, without constant smart ass one liners and put downs, how could we given the opportunity get along better together?

not utopia, not this, not that, just a simple question in need of simple upbuilding replies that enable this place more to reflect the care for others it supposedly sets out to achieve.. any comments?.

QUESTION: What religion are you in now? ...

this got me to thinking.... now that most of us have left the wts, i notice some have taken other belief systems.

some have come to a peace with their own ideas.. my question is are you involved with another religion?

has it brought you more peace or happiness?

Upon leaving initially I searched for many answers through eastern philosophy, but this was at the same time as really working through the shackles of JW caged thinking, so the balance was never quite found, although now it still has its appeal to me.

As far as spirituality today goes, the land and nature I communicate with more and more, its great to feel a part of the earth and in turn to respect that she has also given me.

Christianity I'm still struggling with, although that too, ummmmm ....??? (Don't want to go in a cage)

A spirituality with more gentleness and care and respect for one another without the need for words though
