I have done a small amount of research into my family background, found out that a great great great how many times I do not know, was one of several other gentlemen who invented the game of billiards and also the pinball machine, though I do need to make a most definite clarification of this to make sure this is totally correct. What is known is that the family had during the last century a very large bakery business covering several English counties Welsh borders. Supposedly the old boy died, not before his solicitor married him prior to his death 2 months later taking the huge family fortune with her, this apparently sometime in the early 70's. I also have two great great great aunts who in Kidderminster lived to 105 and 103 years old respectively, they were known as the Badland sisters and today there are still street names bearing their name.
I don't know about where you live, where your public records are held, but here in the UK, a good place to start would be the local library to check the births, marriages and deaths, of course, there are several good internet sites dedicated to this department as well as obviously employing someone to do all the research for you.
All the best in your search!!

Thinking about going to the District Convention!
by Elsewhere inwith all the talk about how awful the convention is i am thinking about going this weekend in fort worth just for kicks and giggles... and to record the talks.
does anyone local to the dfw are have a digital recorder that can record up to eight hours of voice?
i'd like to try to avoid buying one.
