  NEW JW book arrived in mail...

  i don't know want topic this should fall under, don't really care right now.

  i've been pissed off most of the afternoon.

  my jw stepdad, who until last month i have not spoken to in 10 years, sent me a book--"what does the bible really teach?

  No compassion during Bible Study

  i was remembering today about a bible study an elder's wife took me on once (actually, her elder husband was the congregation overseer).

  after the chapter was over for that day (i think the knowledge book), the elder's wife asked when we could arrange the next study.

  the frail single mother of three evaded the question, and the elder's wife persisted.

  My roomate is in the JW's. She can't get out. She is a lonely person and it does give her someone to talk to during the day and good company. However, I'm aware of their bible smugging, guilt trips, one way to God BS, etc. I just wish I could convince my roomate to get some real friends without a hidden agenda and then cut the off like a leach on you toe, lol!
