i know an elder who made a couple of accidents and scrapped his car more than once going to the kingdom hall or assembly hall out of town.

i guess that the angels weren't looking after him that day.... i even remember a brother making an accident with another brother in the field service...lol.

No but was taken to police station while preaching in some backward village, after 10 min they let me go

how many of you felt superior as jw's because you had an elite level of knowledge that only the society could give you?

I was always an underdog, ‘cause I just couldn't shut up, if I could I’d probably already be a CO. Stuff CO better say GB member. But I couldn’t keep my eyes closed, my ears plugged and my mouth shut at the same time. Heck, I’m just a human and not Hindu god

I suspect the whole list of statistics is a load of manure anyway, just to make people believe they're a growing religion.

On this one convection I was assigned with another teen to count attendance. I think we got confused somewhere in the middle and got it wrong for about 50 or so. I mean they never gave us clear insturctions in the first place. Initially we didn't count children but were then told to count everyone we see to be listening, so we started counting even toddlers from the beginning, but since time was already up and elder assigned to collect all the counts from attendants was demanding us to give him something so we just threw a number. Later it got published in WT. Imagine that.

the 1975 debacle left the fds scrambling for explanations for the mass exodus of r&f who were disillusioned by their bs.

the pat answer has always been, "those people didn't keep pace with god's chariot" and they weren't "strong in the truth" and allowed something so "minor" to "stumble" them.

I never really believed it anyway, even when I was an exemplary dub I always secretly thought that Jesus was simply referring to the old Jewish system. Which he obviously did. And which is obviously why I’m now out since I’ve started having “apostate state of mind” back then. Who would have thought that GB would one day come to the same conclusion....
