I'm no longer "christian" but I'd say first command in Bible was to "go forth and multiply". Unlike Brits I don't think authors of Bible were telling us to "fuck off" but to fuck (excuse my French). I suppose they saw that one of the most primordial urges in people has always been to have intercourse, and panned it down. Or if you are religious you could think that was primary purpose for which "god put you on this earth". Either way it is not easy to fight that which nature has intended. To be punished for it is like being punished for finally succumbing to thirst or falling asleep. Heck even JW translation says something "be fruitful and become many" or something like it. Why is it that "Christians" shy away from true meaning of those words would be a better question.

Do 'general' masons, understand what their symbology means?
by EndofMysteries inamong them and their associates, almost all are based on faces of cherubs, serpent as the god of healing, many things from solomon's temple.
i know those who continue to make them and use them, must have an idea of what they represent and the reason for them.
i don't know, if the general members have any clue or if they are just in it for their own reasons, the association, benefits, to help others, or to advance their life/career, etc.

If you do your research you will see that the only "conspiracy" Free Masons have is promotion of democracy and freedom of men (and women), and it has been so from before anyone even knew they were secretly meeting under flickering light of candles during middle ages. Saying that ingelligent men didn't know how to research meanings for themselves is absurd. Surely there are individuals as always who prefer that someone else thinks for them but most Free Masons I met are way more informed and your "average Joe" Freemasonry is as far away from JWism as it can possibly be, the only thing in comon is belief in God i.e. "Grand Architect", and many don't even see it as a person but as "creative principle" whatever that is. As for symbols, you don't even have to be a Free Mason to find meaing, a visit to local library will do.

I don't know, if the general members have any clue
I doubt anyone on this board would know, but if they do, which of the mason groups actually understands the reason for their symbols and have a specific reason for doing so?
Which kinda implies that you do. I assure you, I've got to know many masons. I would find it impossible to belive that they somehow missed it all yet those visiting conspiracy websites have better idea. Masons are some of the most well read and superbly informed individuals you would ever meet. This topic has been rubbed to death on this board for a long time, search the board mate

by AWAKE&WATCHING in.
i realized i was hi-jacking another thread so i thought i would start my own topic.. one of my favorite movie scenes is the "to tip or not to tip" scene in reservoir dogs.

Well in terms of acrobatic "reasoning" this sounds like something grown on W atch T ower F arm
I don't think even Dan Brown would come up with something like this. Nin Anais said it all, "We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are"

Are more men leaving the WT than women???
by changeling intalking to a couple fellow posters the other day i made the observation that there seem to be more men on this board, and, in particular, more married men whose wives are still "in".
i could be wrong about this, but that's how it seems to me.... so, provided my observation is true, why do ya'll think that is?
why are men waking up while the women lag behind?

Good questions changeling. I think in a way you've answered it at the same time. I'd say for many women it revolves a lot around social status and network of friends and unless something happens that shakes their world many would feel like they are betraying those left behind if they suddenly started doing something out of character. In my experience, for ladies its about what whole experience makes them feel like and at the center of it all are friends and family. It is only after their little world is safe that many tend to explore the evidence.
Men on the other hand tend to look for hard facts before they let feeling kick in, for a guy its way easier to say "to hell with this", pack up and leave, start over and never look back. It's really not only when it comes to religion, I'd say most men are like that in general with pretty much everything else.
It doesn't mean that either is superior way, they are just different. In life we need both details and bigger picture to make it complete. We equally despise heartless SOB who is only after the facts as well as someone who just melts all the time - this last is exaggeration to emphasize the point its not to say either side is completely like that ;)
I suppose that explains why when marriage is involved it becomes particularly difficult when say man realizes he's in a cult, and attempts to reason with his wife using facts and she accusing him of ruining everything, basically upsetting chemistry of harmony. Neither man will succeed using facts alone nor will wife succeed by playing on his feelings. So what tends to happen, for example, husband sticks around because of kids or because he still remembers what she "used to be like", hoping eventually "she would see the light" which will never happen unless she "feels the light" and vice verse. So if still in he in a way turns into a shadow of himself and she lives in her head hopping he will change. End result being, marriage either dissolves or they stay together where one is hoping the other will start "feeling differently about the truth" and the other "that other side will see the truth about the truth" Progress is made when they meet in the middle, if that happens at all.Of course, this is just a rough analysis and you'd really need to have hard numbers to see if theory fits the data that may explain the disbalance in numbers. ;)
As for the board attendance, well guys do need some place where they can say their opinion openly so if marriage doesn't provide avenue I'm not surprised there's lots of married boys here. So when it comes to threads you can see guys tend to have hard factual discussion and girls tend to speak about social and humanistic issues, I say tend to, its a tendency not a golden rule. There are several highly schooled and intelligent, and factually oriented ladies that have been posting here for years, as well as there are guys who are more artistic in their expression.

I've had something similar last year along with bleeding, just as well I went to see doctor.. Having said that it doesn't mean yours is serious, so don't freak out. There's lots of other possible explanaitons. My dad had pinched nerve in his lower back which sort of spread shockwave around other parts of body giving false alarms.

Research shows Jehovah's Witnesses grow faster in less developed countries
by slimboyfat inpeople have often commented that much of the current growth of jws is taking place in developing countries.
social researchers studying the growth of jws, mormons and seventh-day adventists have confirmed this observation in a recently published article: .

There is nothing surprising in it, its always been like that. Its easier to control people with little education and means for living, religions have known that for centuries. They know how to control people in precarious conditions - just promise them that all their worries will magically go away one day when "saviour" returns and they'll follow you anywhere. Sad but true.

Yup, I agree. I've written before on the subject but I don't think many realize just how prevalent it is. I think part of the reason is that they expect to witness something along the line of deep hypnotic trance seen on stage shows and performed by master hypnotists, what they don't realize is that hypnotic methods and suggestions can be applied in normal conversation and behaviors where it leaves absolutely no trace that something has taken place (just google conversational hypnosis) all the way to deep cynical hypnosis. Most vivid example you can see it when going to theater show where you are taken for temporary ride into alternative reality you know the show isn't real yet you are tempted to accept it as real, same goes with the movies. The problem starts though when lines are blued and language, symbols and behaviors are used to confuse people on subliminal level permanently through repetition of the same. The language patterns to look for are those that constantly appeal to your subliminal urges such as fear, disgust, anger, etc. On conversational side if someone asks you "how does it feel" or "what feeling are going through you mind while watching this ..." in order for you to answer it you have to feel it, that's how the brain works am afraid, and if it repeats in equal daily or weekly intervals it become ritualistic that has the same effect like deep trance, only difference is that it takes a wee bit longer for conscious mind to surrender to it.

Well on ironic side, this was just a payback for 1966, and Germans were told back then to suck it up, well then ....:) so now that scores are settled we can start with clean sheet next time aroud lol :D
