it seems alot of members here live in the burbs or city so i was wondering who else besides me lives on acreage or rural areas?
i live on eight acres at the base of the cascade foothills.
a half mile away the power lines stop and the old logging roads start.

I live on 3 acres in the woods. Very close to a small town of about 3500 people. Up the road, 9/10ths of a mile are pastures. I always say cows are my neighbors.

which reminds me...i always light a stick of incense an hour or so before the "girls" show up for study.
I love incense. A few weeks ago I bought a bottle that has holes drilled in it and a keychain loop to put the incense in at the top. Very neat and non-messy. All the ashes fall inside the bottle. Angel is the scent that I have been burning lately. I also buy Nag Champa.

the first baby was only 11 months old.
he died because of the mom's boyfriend couldn't handle the baby crying.
That is so sad. And is happening so much now. Or is it just being reported more? I have a problem with dating and who I will let my son be around. I've been lucky that my Mom watches him while I work. But a few times I have had to get a babysitter for him. I've always tried to find someone I trust and have known for awhile. Not too long ago there was a father in Chattanooga who left his infant son in the car. Said he forgot about him. Went to the window several times at his place of business to reset the car alarm because it kept going off. I just don't know how anyone could forget about their son being in a car.

Uhm. I think I might have too many. Norwegian Wood. Sexy Sadie. She came in Through the Bathroom Window. Strawberry Fields. Day in the Life. Across the Universe. I used to put the Abby Road album on repeat in my cd player and go to sleep by it when I worked thirds. I sometimes sing Golden Slumbers to my son to get him to go to sleep. It works, too! Don't make me start a Pink Floyd thread.
