I have the Verizon LG enV, also. I would rather text then talk most of the time. Plus it came in my favorite color.

What goes at a Catholic funeral Mass? I am thinking of attending one this evening. A former doctor of mine died last week. Suicide. She was very close to my age. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Her family was from another state and recieved friends and had a memorial service for her where she is from. I have noone to go with me. As of yet anyway.

One thing I have never done is tour the Jack Daniels Distillery. It would be a good day trip for me sometime.

I remember being at the bookstudy and was being coached by my sister to answer a question. I forgot the question. The answer was "Jehovah."
I said, "What was that guy's name again?" I knew, I just didn't liked being forced to answer a question by my sister. I think I was 4 or 5.

What did you think in -95?
by Samuel Thorsen inwhen i first read about wts having "new ligth" on the 1914-generation issue in the newspaper i was shocked.
(some evil apostates had been helpful and informed the paper weeks before i got my november issues of the wt.).
my thoughts was.

I never really "studied" anything. I just kind of accepted everything at face value, having been raised in the "truth".
I think I studied too much. I had a lot of time on my hands. I was pioneering but my parents were supporting me so I didn't work. I was a dork. I cross referenced everything. We had a big library of bound volumes going back to the 50's. When I studied that article, it really ticked me off.
I was raised in the "truth," but me and my best friend, who I only saw at meetings had agreed secretly with each other to not get baptized til after we were 18. Another friend of ours died, at 19, in his sleep. Scared the crap out of me and I studied and got baptized when I was 19. At 20 I started pioneering, I think. She was the smart one and never did get baptized.

The 1995 "new light" is what drove the final nail in the WBTS coffin for me. I knew that anything the organization published could not be the truth. I spent most of my teenage years fearing destruction by an impending armageddon.
Yeah, me too. I remember when we studied that article. I was pioneering at the time. It really disillusioned me. About year later is when I started fading away.

Do JWs Shun You?
by minimus inrecently, i've heard from various jw family members that either i am viewed as "close to being an apostate" because i had made some comments suggesting that the fds is clearly wrong on many issues over the years or that i "have left jehovah" and therefor by my new way of life, i must be shunned.
while visiting my dying non jw uncle in the hospital, i was told outrightly that it was wished that i never showed my face and that my mere presence was objectionable and that since i "left jehovah", they could not talk to me any longer.. their viewpoints saddened me because they said all this in front of my uncle who can barely respond to anything.
his reaction: he cried his eyes out!

Yes and no. Almost no one in my family who are JW's does. I can only think of a couple of times when outright shunning has occurred.
One time, was in a local shopping center's parking lot. The ringleader elder that DF'd me was street witnessing. They packed up and left
when he had spotted me. I made sure to make direct eye contact with him and I smiled. It was 9:40 am so I doubt it was break time yet.

I agree with Sirona.
Strip them of their WT goggles and maybe there might be someone in there reasonable, but after years of not thinking for themself, they
probably don't know what to think.
