menthane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below with a lantern, 'ka.........boooom!'.
several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening.. after that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the term 'ship high in transit' on them which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the 'hold' would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.. thus evolved the term "s.h.i.t.

In 2002, an alleged acronymic origin for shit appeared on the Internet. According to this tale, the word is from an acronym for Ship High In Transit, referring to barges carrying manure. This is a complete fabrication and absurd on its face. All it takes to disprove it is to look up the word in any decent dictionary. Remember, anytime someone posits an acronymic word origin, chances are that it is utterly false.

i have been 'out' for apprx 12 years now and it still feels naughty buying xmas and birthday cards.

My 'soon to be ex-parents in law' (you know who I mean Lou) send my children money and a 'We're Thinking Of You Today' card on the children's birthday. They claim to be zealous JW's etc yet they are so hypocritical It makes my spunk bubble!

Probably the only talk that interested me, apart from the one on masturbation. Apologies to you guys that take alot of stuff on this site seriously and are truly intersted in Christianity etc. I am very irreverent. Suppose it's my way of dealing.
But back to the point. Why did it take until the early 1980's for the Big J to let the Org know that we should be burning our 33's and 45's (showing my age)? When quite clearly popular beat combos had been singing about sex, drugs, sex, the devil, sex, demons, sex, naughty things, sex, putting hidden messages about sex, drugs & sex in songs etc for years. To quote some obvious examples:
The Beatles - Would their songs have been half as good if they weren't mashed off their tits all through the 60's?
Led Zep - Hidden messages in Stairway to Heaven
Queen - Again hidden mesages, songs about sex, The Devil, sex. And "apparently it's good to smoke marijuana". And a lead singer who took it up the marmite motorway.
The Rolling Stones - Apparently they had sympathy for Old Nick but he seems to be doing Ok to me.
Elvis - Jailhouse Rock, just about the gayest song I've ever heard.
And there are 1000's more.
Get switched on Big J and org... stop these outrages before people get to enjoy them!!
