Another thing for me was the whole Governing Body and the annointed nonsense that even to a not so logical person, takes a stretch, on the part of the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus type of stretch. As I got older, the less it made sense. Who are these people? And why do they act like the pope/Vatican of the JW? Again, the more they pointed to the world's hypocrisy, the more I saw their own.

basically, my main argument was that if the fds gets jehovah's holy spirit and their "food" is "the truth", yet they always are correcting themselves, how can anyone in all fairness believe it's "the truth"??
you can't show scripturally why organ transplants are a form of cannibalism and clearly a disfellowshipping offense and a couple of years later after possible disfellowshippings or death, and then believe jehovah god changed his view suddenly.

My mom says reasons for staying is because she learned the name of God to be Jehovah, no hellfire, purgatory, Trinity, etc....No other religion taught her that, especially did the Catholic church not teach her these things.
The name of God is not Jehovah, there is book that has about 200 different names for God. You don't need to join the JWs to dispute hellfire, Trinity and purgatory, there are many religions that believe the same thing. I feel for you, I really do - they really prey on people sometimes.

Oh where does one start??
The ding dong of Armaggedon coming. How many dates are they going to change before they get this thing right?
The rewording of the Bible to fit their own ideology and lying to the masses regarding it.
The UN situation, how do you sit and denounce an organization, that you are apart of?
The constant and complete sexist hypocrisy towards women and the many many children that have been sexually assaulted but the organization turned a blind eye to it even using their indoctrination to force women and children into abusive situations. This is a big one for me, I know of far too many such situations.
The blood issue is completely misunderstood and distorted, people have died unnecessarily because of it.
Because it is a cult that breaks up families and life long friends on nothing more than a difference of opinion.
I could go on, but these are the big ones.

haven't been to a meeting in a while.
my entire family are witnesses, actually had a relative that proclaimed to be of the 144000...thats how deep....this is third generation witnesses here in this family.

god loves unconditionally, but only certain ones, god is going to save the world from its downward spiral, but first of all he is going to destroy millions of evil people.
it is all so fatalistic and unkind.
