A typical phrase that you might hear spoken in prayer at the Kingdom Hall would be something like "We're so thankful Jehovah that you provide such a nourishing spiritual feeding program for us through your Faithful and Discreet Slave..." Im still wondering, do you think Jehovah knows about this Faithfull Disceet Slave? LOL. And if they are supposed to give the proper food at the proper time, wouldnt that "old light" be food poisoning? I know it makes me sick!!

My brother and I both were born and raised as Jehovahs Witnesses. We both are no longer JW's. He was disfellowshipped about 10 years ago for smoking, and I left the Organization in 2000. Both of us wanted to do something to help Jehovahs Witnesses see that they are'nt in the "truth". I showed him this stuff, and we both agreed that were going to have to go to the assembly this year. We have our psuedo-badges printed up. I had to dig my old suit out of the closet, and it still fits, Praise God! and shine up my old book bag. We also shined up our NWT bibles, mines the maroon red one. remember wwen we reffered our dress shoes as kingdom hall shoes? LOL I still have to laugh!! Im not sure, if I have my "singing praises to Jehovah" song book though. dang, I hope I didnt burn it. Anyhow, it will be fun, I'll have to shave my goatee and pull my earings and cover my many tattoos, but some things are worth it. Im so looking forward to this years summer convention!! you know I dont think Ive ever looked forward to a assembly so much since when I was baptised LOL.... Keep the Faith, Fight the Fight

Not to make excuses for the Watchtower Society, but unfortunately alot of poeple were, and still are ignorant. Altough, Id like to see the expressions on some of the African American Jehovahs Witness faces when they saw this. Im sure they wouldnt be so willing to put in there 10 hours of feild service.

2 Chron 22:2...what the heck?
by doogie inok, hopefully someone with a handle on the original biblical languages can help me out here.
i was reading some information another poster on the board sent me, and in it, he mentions an odd situation shown in 2 chronicles 21:20 - 22:2he was thirty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in jerusalem; and he departed with no one's regret.
they buried him in the city of david, but not in the tombs of the kings.

The book is called " Reasoning from the scriptures with the Jehovahs Witnesses" and yes its written by Ron Rhoades. It is a really good book, probably the best book in my arsenal. And yes it has been out for at least a couple years that I know of.

I drive semi truck so I see JW all the time while Im driving down the road. You know the dead give away?? Six people in a four door geo metro with the 500 pound fatty sitting in the middle of the back seat, book bags all over the place, and of course you gotta have that "old Watchtower" mag sitting in the back window, just in case a fellow JW drove by you they would know your in the "troof" too. I was at the gas station while I was out of town. This car that I explained in the introduction actually pulled up next to me in the parking lot. When I noticed they all were JW's I reached over and grabbed my own bible and started reading it in the car. When they noticed me of course they couldnt help but start a conversation!! Boy was that fun!! I had the car group all sitting there wondering if the truth.....really was the truth. Lets all pray they find it too!

I personally thought that 'Legends of the Fall', was one of the sadder movies Ive seen. But my personal favorite was 'My Life' with Micheal Keaton, where him and his wife find out that they are pregnant, then they find out he has cancer. Watch the movie if you havent seen it!! Notebook was slow, but still a geniune tearjerker too!
