Watchtower and UN?

is this issue of the watchtower being part of the un department of public information of any significance?

at the district conventions of jehovahs witnesses there are flags of the united states and other sovereign government such as states or other countries hanging from the buildings.

the governing body and the watchtower society rent buildings which become the equivalent of kingdom halls for the weekend.

quick builds

ok was lying awake last night @ 3am wondering: when jw's build a hall in a weekend how do they get an inspectors approval so quickly?

( i know i need a life).

i mean various portions need to be inspected before the next step can be built, right?

Like a Amish barn raising, you dont want to have to much inbreeding so what do you do, Hey have a quick build. New babes, new submissive wenches just ripe for the pickin!! When you went to Kingdom Hall did you ever notice how many families are related in one way or the other? My old Kingdom Hall just about half the congregation was related in some fashion or another.

can anyone tell me if there has ever been a case of jw relatives kidnapping another relative who wished to leave the cult.

even if the restraint only lasted a few hours.

i have an account of a rather stunned female jw who was put under what she described as " house arrest" until the judicial committee threw her out officially.

My experience with the Jehovah's Witnesses

i became interested in jehovah's witnesses when a friend invited me to a communion service at the kingdom hall.

this was actually called the memorial service.

raised lutheren, i was fascinated by the fact that most jehovah's witnesses are denied the honor of partaking of the elements.

Im just glad you got out while the getting was good. Alot of people just get sucked into it and before you know it your (thouroughly)sp? indoctrinated, seperated from your "worldly" family and even if you decided to leave, you since gotten rid of all your old friends who are unbelivers replaced with ONLY Jehovahs Witness friends, and the thought that you would have to disassociate yourself from all your new found family and friends. This is how the shell game is played. -- thank God your out!!

first they should have changed "godly obedience" to "society obedience".

i have never heard obey the gb pushed so hard in all my years as i dub.

I was just wondering for those of you who have attended the DC. Do they still use corny names for people like brother and sister "weak in the truth", or brother "pioneer", sister"submissive"? -- Me and my old buddies would always laugh at the new names they'd come up with.

Is it appropriate to have a Kingdom Hall sign saying: "Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Christian Witnesses"? So there will be uniformity, the Society encourages all to make their signs read: "Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses." (See October 1978 Our Kingdom Service, page 3, paragraph 5.) --- DUH!!!! New Light!!! Is'nt it nice for the Governing Body to provide the proper food at the proper time.
