I think it is ironic for them to be proud of this or even to claim that MJ consciously wanted them to be brought up JW. The man was so damaged, he was so riddled with drugs, he was NOT thinking straight enough to have had any real intent regarding his kids. His mother is 79 years old. If he wanted them to be brought up JW, he would have put them in the care of his middle aged JW sister who has children and an elder husband. In any case, there is no way those children will have any kind of normalcy in their lives, unless they change their names and get plastic surgery themselves (just as beautiful as their dad was when he was a child-I hope no one ruins their self image and self respect as they managed to do to MJ-but you know they will).

For all the Witnesses proud about the coverage due to Jackson Family
by KW13 ini've lost count of the number of times witnesses have pointed excitedly to the most obscure references and mentions to their religion.
'look...look we're in the paper'.. what i say next isn't related to my personal feelings regarding michael jackson, however it needs to be said.. what i would like to say to all the witnesses, proud that their religion is gaining coverage through the whole michael jackson fiasco is this.
take one look at the mental state of those family members and tell me they are what you would consistute as 'normal' and 'wise'.

Jehovah's Witnesses invite ''all'' to attend summer convention........65 miles away
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhile i was working outside on a customer's house,a witness handed me a tract inviting me to this summer's assembly.
he handed me the invite, told me what a nice job i was doing and left.. i read that the summer convention was about 65 miles from where i live.
when i was a witness driving 65 miles would of been no problem.

I remember when I was little-before we had the assembly hall-the little conventions were at local high schools, later the local fairgrounds. We have one assembly hall that I know of in WW-about 2 hours from my house. I feel bad for the locals having to go so far for those lame one day special conventions. You KNOW it is just taking valuable time and resources away from the house2house work:)

My aunt has been DF'd since before I was DA'd=about 30 years ago. She has FINALLY been able to quit smoking and got rid of the drug habit she got into whilst she was in the borg and NOW the woman wants to go back and is going to be reinstated. No one will talk to her at the hall. She will talk to me(now), but I am figuring that will be over once she is reinstated or before that as she tries to be worthy of her association.
She destroyed her family before-and this is another bump she is putting in the road of her newfound communication with her kids. No holidays. She wouldn't have a family picnic on her birthday(it was one weekend this summer not taken over by other events) because someone might remember it was her birthday and celebrate it! Her grandkids just think she is kind of weird. Her daughters love her but are wary of this woman who has really hurt them their whole lives.
She never stopped believing the crap. Just didn't think she could 'do' it right. She has been drug free for 15 years now-but it took her another 15 to quit smoking. I don't know why she was waiting anxiously to rejoin. It was the beginning of the end of her family.

Insane Email From My JW Mother
by daniel-p inshe starts out with some banal stuff about where they want to move, etc, then, she launches into this:.
that brings up something i wanted to tell you in person but itseems that i am not going to be able to do that very soon.
i amhoping to throw some light on what has happened within our familyesp during the time we were over there.. it has become very apparent to us now that during that time period from early spring on, in 200[x], satan launched an all-out attack on our family, son.

It looks to me like she is saying that Satan has infiltrated your family and is damaging and attacking it constantly. Not a great protection from Jehovah that they are getting there, eh? REALLY makes it seem attractive to drag yourself back into the mire, doesn't it? Not knowing all the details, it doesn't seem like a great place to be.

Recently disfellowshipped prominent Assembly overseer in Western Europe now speaking out against the Watchtower org.
by the research lady informer elder, and assembly overseer roberto from france will be joining barbara and joe anderson on tonight's conference call, july 18,2009. roberto was disfellowshipped in june 2009 and after many faithful years of service is now joining thousands of others who are speaking out against the evils of the watchtower organization.
our call tonight will be focused on how the country of france, as well as other european countries are investigating jehovah's witnesses.
the watchtower organization is experiencing difficulties in these countries for the inhumane treatment and exerting too much control over people's lives.

Poor guy is kind of screwed with Reniia no matter what. If he was DF'd for apostacy, it is sour grapes that is making him speak out now. And if he was DF'd for apostacy, than he is an apostate! Therefore nothing he says matters, no matter what.

I roasted some beets(from the organic farm nearby), sliced and served them with slivered onions, basil and a balsamic vinegarette, chilled. YUM. I'd only had beets from a can when I was a kid-liked them, but the dye seemed more trouble than it was worth to give my kids when they were younger and my husband said he hated them. The kids loved it. Nice surprise-they are sweet and taste bad for you.

THe organic raisin bran and salsa from costco(I think kirkland brand?) are really good. I don't go out of my way for organic, but some items come across and are wonderful so we look for them.
Just FYI, I don't know if it is organic, but Costco sells a high fiber bread called "squirrelly bread" that is very popular in our home(great for toast and sandwiches). It has no flour, just a bunch of grains etc. It is great for Weight watchers-we discovered it because of its point value in WW. YUM.

One of the most encouraging witnesses I have had here lately! And an excellent thing for the undercover ex JWs to work at.

When and should I tell my family I am pregnant?
by Free yet lonely inleft three years ago - did the fade away and managed to avoid getting dissed.
have been living with my boyfriend for a year and a half and am 9 wks pregnant, we are both very happy about it.
i have been having a really hard time with the hormones and the morning sickness - cannot eat anything except crackers as it comes back up immediately and the slight smell of anything unsavoury sets me off.

If they aren't seeing you, don't bother telling them. I only say this because you know they will dump on you one way or the other. If they see you with a 2 year old, then introduce them. Yes, this is my spiteful nature coming out. Sorry:)
One thing to consider is protecting your child. We read here of so many JWs that want to shun their children and take over their grandchildren's spiritual lives. They may indeed decide to let you in enough to get in good with the baby. You really don't want that situation going on.
Congratuations. Babies are indeed a wonderful thing and I hope you and your baby and its father have a wonderful family.
Edited to say: After seeing other posts, do make sure that there is no legal way for your family to have control over you or the child medically in case of emergency. That might be reason enough to marry now if you are going to anyway. Legally, if not a big party.

It is shameful that religion brought such a breach in a family. Good to know where you stand, I guess. In their view trampled under the feet of a publisher. Put this in your book that will not be published by the WTS;) They will have their reputation further enhanced-maybe not in the way they would like. . .
