  ex jws have you ever been helped by an active jw?

  just wondering if anyone here that has left, faded away, no longer active in the congregation but not dfd, needed help, money, car, food etc.

  and recieved some from an active jw?.

  Yep. My mom has helped me more than once. I have helped her, too. She is hardcore in some ways but I think that my being DA'd as a teen eases her conscience a bit.

  OTOH, we have totally been on the outs with each other too. I hope that is at least an encouragement to some who are going through a rough time currently with JW family. For reasons they aren't going to tell us they wax and wane with their obedience levels.

  I'm thinking aging is working in our favor in this aspect of our lives. both of us! We are realising tht some battles aren't worth the casualties.

  Some nice guys. Tried to get me to go along with them during my JC, but they were so irrational-and I was the 15 year old. . . no way.

  I mostly remember the oldest one Brother S. Nice, stern, the guy in charge. All the rest were . . .not so much. The only really evil guy was an MS (now an Elder) who abused his wife dreadfully. Cheated folks, used his position, good looks and got away with stuff. Another MS(now elder) was clearly just in this for show. Makes him look good to have a position, makes his wfie happy, good networking.

  Some of the guys were sweethearts, some were clueless. Just men. Our elders were deluded or fakes. One told the truth about 1975 and got kicked out.

  Non J-Dub child???

  this in canada not the u.s. (if there is any law difference).. is there any legal way to keep away or restrain the j-dub step mother bitch from an innocent little four year old girl?

  we have recently got wind of the j-dub bitch man-handling her by grabbing her by the face, scolding her, yelling at her.

  it has been said that the father does nothing about it.

  Contact CPS. If she is physically or emotionally abusing the little girl, that has nothing to do with religion. Leave religion out of it and document the abuse that the authorities understand. Child protective services give leeway to religion that they perhaps shouldn't, but physical abuse is not negotiable.

  britain - a high court judge has ruled that the son of two jehovahs witnesses can be given a blood transfusion despite religious objections from his parents.. mr justice moylan was told by doctors that the very young boy had suffered severe burns in an accident and might need a blood transfusion.

  the judge concluded that a blood transfusion would be in the youngsters best interests in spite of the deeply held views of his mother and father.. the judge said a health trust with responsibility for treating the boy had asked for a ruling.

  Sacrificing a child to make ones own perverted religious point-I do think there is a similarity, but a limited one. Using a child as a tool to kill others is even worse to humanity. As an act to try appease a false idea of some insane God who requires you do do it though, it is equally insane. Both parents are doing it to earn points with men (not actually God). God doesn't require it biblically or in the quran. These acts are constructs of men to control other men.

  I think a reinstatement is when a person repents. I think a reversal is like being exhonerated=DNA proves innocent kind of thing. Wrongfully DF'd.

  hello one and all.. the local jws had a booth set up at my university today and something just came over me.

  i went to a computer, found a list of failed prophecies, printed and stapled it, and walked over to the middle aged woman and the 10-ish years old girl.

  the woman said "if you are interested in anything, take it for free.

  We all had some kind of seed planted, and the ones planted with some care and thoughtfulness as to how they land are a lot more effective than crazy people screaming at folks going into meetings or the memorial and causing scenes. The crazy responses justify their claims of persecution and satanic influence. A loving approach forces folks to think.

  this is the letter i wrote back in '96 about the parousia.

  following the '95 watchtower that disconnected the "generation" from 1914 i began to look carefully at end-time prophecy and soon discovered what i knew were basic errors in what i had been taught.. i was a loyal jw at the time and was still serving as an elder.

  i used only watchtower publications in my research.

  Well, you have defined "knob" well, with that desciptiion of what your FIL did. What a guy! He asks you a question and you give him an honest answer. . . I guess it is a good lesson for others to learn to respond to such as question with "I know that you won't like the answer, so just retract the question".

  3 JWs injured whilst Cart Witnessing

  an elderly driver crashed into a park bench in mandurah, western australia today where 3 jws were sitting.

  they had set up their jw cart and their literature was also strewn across the ground.. one of the jws was seriously injured with head injuries.. what a freak accident this is.. .

  I hope they are ok-crazy freak accidents can happen to anyone. Take smart precautions and you can still find trouble if you don't have an angel sitting on your shoulder
