  CONFESS or COVERUP

  the disconnect from the family of humanity......the snap of that fellow feeling......the cold indifferent shrug as each person dries up and hardens into a mere thing in a kingdom hall.....is a withering away of all that is noble, pure and innocent.. and when that icy moment sets in the rest of the world vanishes into an invisible nothing in the heart of that strutting and proud lump of human flesh called jehovah's witness.. it is the first of many deaths they will endure.... where does it begin and where does it end?.

  perhaps by defending huge lies?.

  if you are complicit in a crime against humanity you have two basic ethical choices:.

  Wow, they now can do jury duty. Was it forbidden back in the day or was that just one JWs interpretation of one of the vaguer directives?

  I always thought that Hitler along with his wife Braun did what cowardly leaders do when they know that no one one will buy into their game anymore-once they lose their power or see it slipping away fast. Hitler did it, Jones did it, Koresh did it. Many of the homicide/suicides come about when folks realize that whatever jig they got going is UP.

  Obviously, not a major cause of suicides, but one I think is tied to that kind of mentality. "We know the end of the world is imminent, so why bother". .. with charity, with life? Seriously, that is a mentality that has a DEAD end.

  Circuit Servants death!!!

  does anyone remember john wyatt he was a circuit servant for many years, he left the organization many years ago.

  he passed away on the 1st of dec 1914.his wife barbara & son robin will miss him..... .

  she's anonymous and posts on the board.

  she is married to a witness still but is fighting on behalf of children in her congregation to not be a next victim of a pedophile who attends her congregation.

  CALL CHILDRENS PROTECTIVE SERVICES FOR HIS DAUGHTER IN CASE THE POLICE SLACK OFF

  ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE THE PEDOPHILES RECORDS TO EVERYONE IN THE HALL

  Report the entire thing to Bethel so that when this guy moves that a record of all this moves with him. Even if no one does what they are supposed to do, they have NO EXCUSE of ignorance.

  I didn't think any kind of sexual abusers could GET privileges.. .what's up with that?

  the lawsuit is over who owns the building.

  obviously, this is of interest to the xjw community given the recent land grab by the watchtower society.

  St. Andrews Antiochian Orthodox (I think) in Arlington WA had almost an entire congregation leave a traditional protestant church and convert to Orthodox and they (somehow) took their building with them. Might want to google that one.

  Shipping items to the Philippines. Does anyone have experience shipping to other countries?

  i live in the usa and want to ship my game consoles (xbox, playstation, wi, ect), laptop, and other items to my wife's family in the philippines.

  i've used a company locally that ships there at a fix price of $90 per box.

  so whatever i fit in the box will ship at that rate regardless of weight.

  You might find some in the local immigrant community who visits family in your wife's old neighborhood. Whenever we or family travel abroad, someone is always sticking in a box of something to take to their family in a nearby town. If you know/trust folks that travel there,that is an option. Or wait till you travel on your own. Folks usually go there loaded with other people's stuff. And come home loaded with a lot of other stuff. Americans get a lot of travel allowance and usually just take mostly gifts with them when they go abroad for family visits, rather than the stuff we take for other kinds of vacations. We plan to take other peoples stuff.

  Genuine repentance - if you can fake that you'll avoid getting disfellowshipped

  to paraphrase a well known saying.

  is it true, in a judicial committee, if you can fake repentance, then they are likely to let you off being disfellowshipped, almost regardless of the "severity" of the sin involved?

  can former elders and perhaps victims of the process shed light on the matter?

  Yep. My mom has helped me more than once. I have helped her, too. She is hardcore in some ways but I think that my being DA'd as a teen eases her conscience a bit.

  OTOH, we have totally been on the outs with each other too. I hope that is at least an encouragement to some who are going through a rough time currently with JW family. For reasons they aren't going to tell us they wax and wane with their obedience levels.

  I'm thinking aging is working in our favor in this aspect of our lives. both of us! We are realising tht some battles aren't worth the casualties.

  What Was Your Body of Elders Like?

  Some nice guys. Tried to get me to go along with them during my JC, but they were so irrational-and I was the 15 year old. . . no way.

  I mostly remember the oldest one Brother S. Nice, stern, the guy in charge. All the rest were . . .not so much. The only really evil guy was an MS (now an Elder) who abused his wife dreadfully. Cheated folks, used his position, good looks and got away with stuff. Another MS(now elder) was clearly just in this for show. Makes him look good to have a position, makes his wfie happy, good networking.

  Some of the guys were sweethearts, some were clueless. Just men. Our elders were deluded or fakes. One told the truth about 1975 and got kicked out.
