If this is all about god drawing folks then door to door work and carts are useless. Folks would just show up, un-instigated in any human way, to christians and ask about Jesus. No time sheets, car groups, carts or invites to any event necessary.

Seen an Angel witnessing...
by Aleph inhere in france we received instruction to stand back from the cart.. so you can see "angels" witnessing with a cart by its own, no one around, and no one cares, i stayed a while, did my shopping, and half an hour later the "poor angel" was still there on his own.... i guess wherever is the publisher, he s hard working counting his hours..

My mom shunned me because I put something about WT (and Muslim and CAtholic and Baptist etc) responses to child abuse in their religions on my FB page. It was critical of religious responses to child abuse in institutional settings. It wasn't about rejecting God, it wasn't a rejection of Jesus. It wasn't critical of faith, it was criticizing MEN in charge.
She objects to any criticism of the organizational practices. NO MATTER WHAT. She shuns me for that, not for immorality, not for rejecting God, not for dishonesty, not for immodesty or drunkenness or drug abuse.
she is now trying to stay in touch(her typical trying to move out of HER shunning mode and keep face) and I am now keeping it to necessary family business. I have no desire to mess with that crap anymore. She can't just say she is sorry for anything, she can't ADMIT that anything the WT told her to do is wrong. I'm not playing anymore. I respond politely and briefly to her communications. I almost softened up a couple of times but I decided that this is not dementia related, it is just JW related hatefulness and I'm not letting her run my life anymore. She pulled that crap when I was going through hell on every part of my life with my kids, my husband, my ex, jobs, money and poor health(on several fronts) . She knew most of it and still pulled that. That is NOT love. And it was the straw that broke it for me. I can survive all of that-but I DON'T have to add any extra stressors to my already complicated life. If those 7 men in Brooklyn matter more than I do. If they can do ANYTHING with impunity. . . well, I don't have a mother.

What I said to an Elder and the matter was dropped.

coincidently, one of the elders was the assistant congregation servant in a different kh and congregation which i grew up in.
therefore, we knew one another well.

Troubled mind, I think your elder must be moonlighting as a police interrogator, because they don't have to be ethical in their accusations, they just need to be in legal boundaries. You know, such technicalities are a favorite among certain mindsets that figure the ends justifies the means. And dicatorships just want the results that they want-truth has nothing to do with it. -

I was trained a little about the legal requirements to stay properly certified with the DOT. It's tough and they are doing great. If you get too many, they can pull your trucks/drivers off the road. Basically anything that happens on the road is going to ding the driver, even if a private driver causes an accident (which is not right, many individuals are really stupid driving around big rigs). A certain amount of respect should be given to commercial drivers with excellent records. Its not a 'given'. -

James Jack, I have seen one of the new KH's. In Tacoma/Lakewood WA there is a new hall style (lots of windows, big parking lot, commercial area bordering a residential neighborhood. Its a nice hall (SMALL!) and has handy dandy gates that lock everyone in/out during the meetings. To prevent escape or anyone trying to break in during armageddon, presumably. There is an older hall nearby with the same gates. In the two halls are two English speaking congs, 2-3 spanish and a cambodian and vietnamese (I think, cant read the lang.). Six cong's total. -

i'm away from home for the first time in a long while training to get certified in a field i'm not even sure i want to work in anymore.

I don't know much, but you have have projected this to a relationship and being rejected. Get her phone number before you start seeing wedding bells and divorce papers! One step at a time and while you are in it, enjoy itfor what it is. If it is meant to be more, the ease in the relationship will develop.
You aren't doomed to disaster, but I think a little positive self talk, positive attitude would be useful. If not her, someone will be right. Think sales guy like-Law of large numbers. Keep meeting people, getting comfortable meeting people and just enjoy it for the meet,for the acquaintance, for the friendship and ? Meet old, young, male, female, ugly and beautiful people. Learn to like and enjoy them for who and what they are as humans. Then, someday you may be better at relationships in general. Not every girl is a future gf or wife. Let them be what they are and become what they are meant to be to you-you only need ONE to be the right one, but a lot can be wonderful people to know and learn about and add value to both of your lives because of their humanity. Just enjoy the humans around you.

I just want to find new friends ^_^
by pureginseng0 inmy name is ji-seong lee and about jw life, it has been almost 11 years after baptism.. but researching about jw bad behavior, it was a real shock (including child abuse by elders).
but i think just keeping jw lifestyle is more comfortable than stopping it, because of my family.... i have mom, father, and one older sister, and my father was an elder (not now) and my sister is regular pioneer.. so it is just a challenge to quit my religion.. because i just love to make friends throughout the world, (nomatter what religion backgrond they have) i post this text and in the end of this you will find the kakaotalk id of me!!.

Welcome Ji-Seong Lee! We are all aware of how difficult leaving can be when there is close family involved. As you are young, hopefully you can find a way to fade as you are at a age when many travel and move from home, go to university, marry, etc. Don't get married to a JW! That will just dig you in deeper.
All the best to you. I hope you find a way to exit gracefully and maintain the relationships that you value. I'm not headed to S. Korea any time soon, but I will keep you in mind. If you are ever traveling to Washington State, IM me and I would love to say hello.

Whatever moment that is would presumably find some asleep, some sitting on the toilet and others having sex. How would being in hospital keep one out of paradise? I hope your mom gets her needed surgery and recovers in good health.

I never heard a peep about Greenlees until I got on this board. Either exposing or defending him without evidence would have been a legal disaster. Whatever else you think about Ray, he wasn't an idiot and he came out of the most LEGALISTIC organization on the face of the earth. Not to mention that it is pretty unethical to publicly ruin a man's reputation on hearsay. Kind of like "when did you stop beating your wife?" Guilty or innocent, he would have been putting something out there in the world that was not common knowlege or dealt with in the justice system. Apparently some 'talk' has outed Greenlees, but as I have seen things over the years, I haven't seen much other than rude comments about him being a pedophile. I have seen snarky remarks, but I would not repeat them to anyone because I don't repeat much in the way of snarky remarks.
As for Ray having full documentation. . . it is kind of old school to keep important correspondence in a hard copy, but many of us who have gone through an estate or old business files know that it was a common thing to do. That he had his own copies might have a lot to do with the fact that he was in meetings where this stuff was discussed. That he took it with him. . . well, again, he was in a legalistic organization. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That he had copies of things that bothered him makes more sense, not less, especially when he was clearly troubled about things.
Did he plan to write a book? Maybe! Were I still in, I have said it before, I just WISH I could have inside information to use against them. I WISH I could try to steer them in a better direction. I WISH I could hold on to (and expose!) things that might relieve the consciences of hundreds of thousands of people who are struggling with the idea of leaving "the truth" because they really don't have the information or maybe the intellect to pull together all the things that are not making sense to them. I WISH I could help as many people as Ray did.
I know he didn't get rich from being an ex GB member and I have never sensed that he expected to. I think the man was operating with his conscience and I for one don't begrudge him that he used the tools available to him to help others. He burned those bridges and that was a lot braver than many here have been able to be- yet-but he gives hope to them because he didn't leave at the first hint of distress, either. But he LEFT. And so can all of us when we can get our courage bonded to our brains! It wasn't easy for even him. But he did it.
