i still can't believe it.
she was here for the bbq, we had an awesome time, laughing, her telling stories from our childhoods.
i gave her a hug and told her i loved her before she left.
Dear BB, you are suffering a loss now that I don't even want to imagine. The scenario is kind of my worst nightmare and I am so sad that you are living it. You have my deep sympathy combined with a certain joy-your last moments with her were good ones. You had reconciled. That is a gift that both of you received. I hope you will remember all the best parts of your life with her.

i just sent off my resume for a job.. i have a pretty good recommendation already .
and know three people that work there.. but these young ones just out of college .
are getting the work now.. .
I feel for you. I have been laid off twice in two years. You will be glad to know that two Americans(competition for full time jobs) are going out of the country -one to a newly created job. One to happy and guilt free unemployment:)That's me.
It can be so demoralizing to go through long term unemployment. The blessing for you though is that you are in good company. Nowadays long term unemployment doesn't need much in the way of excuses-it's all too common. I hope you get the job. I hope it is wonderful! I am putting every last bit in storage for at least 5 years (we are relocating out of the country). The only bible literature I will have is Strongs and my actual Bible. I will be in a place that excess religious stuff is discouraged. There will be no JWs at the door-EVER. Gated compound and no evangelization allowed in the entire country.
Life is sweet. Moving to the desert middle east is a small price to pay for the opportunity to leave all the yuk and clutter of my life behind me. The only JW stuff I still have are of monetary value and I am not going to throw away money. All the loose random WTs are gone. WooHoo.

Reproval is the most that will happen. She isn't baptised and she didn't make any statements that could be construed as apostate, she wasn't boinking anyone, she just used rank language and was public about it. Plus, she is rich.
i'm trying to respect the privacy of this individual, so forgive me if i'm a little too vague in my descriptions.. this for me, was the most emotional and difficult judicial matter that i have ever experienced.
its been many years since this happened and i'm still troubled, and troubled for this individual.. a young sister had committed fornication and i was chosen to sit on the judicial committee.. the case didn't make sense at first.
she was a faithful example in the congregation and was very much liked by all.
The WTS didn't do the right thing by this girl with their policy, but the legal system at that time didn't protect her either. If he went to jail for this-convicted, I can't imagine how he would be permitted within spitting distance of that girl. That is messed up as much as anything.
If it comforts you, she wanted to be DF'd-consequences be darned, because she couldn't be there. Had you allowed her to stay in the cong., she would have probably just kept acting out in her pain at the betrayal of those that should have loved her the most.
The right thing to do, asking him to go to another congregation who was fully aware of his past, while allowing her to stay in her own-is not possible in the WTS because of their policy. Kinda messed up.
I am in favor of the apology to her and public exposure in the paper. Not of her, but of the situation altogether.
The bad thing-she is probably one of the JW apologists who troll the internet trying to be a good witness for the org. that hurt them.
her son, jesse, is in serious condition.. my son is in surgery and may lose his hand and arm.. jesse got an infection in a cut on his finger.
his finger and hand swelled to the size of an arm .. .
they have to do surgery on his hand and arm.

well if there is a congregation contest for shunning i am sure my family will win.. only my mother has been friends with a worldy for as long as i remember.
- the lady in question has terminal cancer and so its a good reason for my mum to be a good christian friend.. mums friend is also mine though i am dfd she never took sides, until now its been a year and she didnt think my mother would be capable of carrying out the shuning to this extent.
- she has lost a lot of respect for her.. today mums friend (and mine) phoned me, i asked what she had been up to how she was.
You oughta send her one with the exact same message on her next birthday.

ok, i'm sure i am not the first one to be in this predicament but it sure is a headache, my jw ex called a few days ago, apparently she has met someone (they're not dating of course!
) and she wants to me to hand over the golden ticket.
she wants confirmation either in writing or verbally to a third party, that she is "scripturally free" to remarry.. i have managed for years now to avoid any judicial action and my jw family members still associate with me, but that all could come to a screeching halt if i give her what she wants.. the only bright side is she totally robbed me on the divorce; if she gets married i am at least off the hook for "spousal maintenance", that would mean potentially thousands of dollars in my pocket.... .

the building boom has slowed down, but the govt is busy busy busy building a modern country, so I am sure there is something for him. I really hope he gets it, but trying not to hold my breath:) I need a change. And you know what, no one will be waking us up early on a Sat. morning. Not allowed.
