  circumcising young boys on religious grounds amounts to grievous bodily harm, a german court ruled tuesday in a landmark decision that the jewish community said trampled on parents' religious rights.. the regional court in cologne, western germany, ruled that the "fundamental right of the child to bodily integrity outweighed thefundamental rights of the parents", a judgement that is expected to set a legal precedent.. "the religious freedom of the parents and their right to educate their child would not be unacceptably compromised, if they were obliged to wait until the child could himself decide to becircumcised," the court added.. the case was brought against a doctor in cologne who had circumcised a four-year-old muslim boy on his parents' wishes.. a few days after the operation, his parents took him to hospital as he was bleeding heavily.

  a man stabbed his wife outside her church thursday afternoon at kingdom hall on old spartanburg road, authorities said.. leonard edwards jr., 46, was being held thursday night in the greenville county detention center on charges of attempted murder and possession of a knife during commission of a violent crime, according to master deputy laura campbell of the sheriffs office and jail records.. the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, campbell said.

  she said the woman was stabbed once in the back.. about 30 to 40 church members were present for the bible study, campbell said.. a man asked the woman to come out of the church, and she did, campbell said.. she then ran back into the church followed by a man armed with a knife, campbell said.. the man had knocked her to the ground and stabbed her, she said.. when deputies arrived, congregation members were holding a man in the sanctuary, campbell said.. .

  i apologize if i am wrong.. .

  i am hoping to get information / advice from someone on here that is a real estate guru.. i own a small piece of land in the hill country.

  There are ways to assess the value and you have good suggestions here. I think that your neighbor is trying to get one over on you, so watch out. I also think that as you are not desperate to sell that you should hold on until you get an offer that makes sense to you.

  Don't ask ONE local real estate agent. Check zillow for recent sales and assessed values and 3 local agents and ask for an assessment. Its a bit of a PITA getting them all and hearing the sales pitches, but you will have a better idea of what is a reasonable expectation in this case. If you like one of them and later get a reasonable offer, you could ask them to draw up the papers or whatever, but you are under no obligation to deal with them and can simply hire an attorney to take care of it if you sell all on your own.

  In my old newspapers, there were occasionally several story series on related topics, whether military or criminal or a court thing (civil). Usually there is one reporter that investigated them. Call your local paper and ask who their best two people are for investigative stories. You will get the two names(hopefully). Go to the first and talk to them/write them about it and request a response (would they be following up? Do offer any resoures you can). If you don't hear anything from the first one by the time frame given (do say "please contact me in the next week to let me know if you will pursue this story. . . ") and go on to the next one if they are not responsive. Let them know that the story WILL BE told by someone and that you are giving them first crack at it.

  Seriously, the blurb about 28 million is a little interesting, but for them to get "the rest of the story" would make a great series feature on this religion and their actions toward their faithful/and children. If they don't KNOW that there is more to it, they won't care. Get them talking to local JWs, local opposers, Barbara Anderson and others who can give them insight. It could be a fascinating expose by a professional reporter.

  She is an apostate who is just trying to defame the name of Jehovah. You know that no REAL witness ever loses their mind and does anything insane! And if she wasn't already DF'dl, she will be retroactively DF'd so that they can say she was "no longer a member of JW at the time of the incident."

  It is horrible, but it was labeled as a killing of a Libyan civilian by the military before they relabled it as a Christian being killed in Tunisia. I think it was politically motivated, not religious (though I know religious killings do happen). These videos are recycled a lot and the "narrator" can say whatever they want. This clearly has overdubbing on it, so while the violence and the brutality is absolutely clear, the motivations (evil in any case) are not.

  it took me a long time to write this....i'm being brutally honest...i am still a reg pioneer...three sundays ago,i was praying and asking god for a sign or something because i was so confused...i told him exactly what i needed to see for me to believe.i was feeling terrible--crying and feeling sick because i was so confused.ten minutes after, i walked into the kingdom hall and to my surprise--my prayer was answered!

  i soooo wasn't expecting it, even though i prayed.

  so this is where almighty god wants me to be,ii've reasoned.

  I do feel sad for GG. She knows too much to ever just mindlessly allow them to fill her head with the crap they used to get away with. She lost her virginity(innocence of the perfidy of the org) and she can't ever have it back again. I warned her to be careful because she needs an exit strategy-a husband who can take it or leave it and a career that doesn't depend on the local congregation cronyism (for the janitorial positions). She can survive w/o either of those, but it just makes it another hurdle.

  ) i kind of forgot how it ends, but being king, i don't think it ended well for the protagonist.. anyway i feel like that is what happened to me.
