  i auxilary pioneered for a year, then i regular pioneered for 2 years while serving as a ministerial servant.

  then i served at bethel for 3 years.

  while at bethel i worked harder then i have my hole life.

  as some of you know i plan to return to school to obtain a ph.d in psychology.

  Why do you need a 2 year college program? Most Canadian Universities accept students directly out of high school. You could finish an undergrad degree in 4 years, followed by a 5 year Clinical Psychology Doctoral program, which would be a total of 9 years, which is pretty standard for this field.

  Um, no. The very etymological definition of "religion" excludes atheism as a possible category. Nice try though! LOL

  LOL! I was "born-in" to a JW family, but never really believed any of it and was never baptized. I did a 5 year Bachelor of Science, followed by a 6 year Doctoral degree and 3 years Post-Doctoral before landing a Professorship, pretty standard timelines in academic research. You have to LOVE research to be willing to spend 11 years at University! LOL

  and also catholics and lutherans who hate on jws are harrasssing because they are blindsided and i am sick of it .... why do witnesses have such hate poured on them by catholics and lutheran groups?

  also, how do you deal with not celebrating holidays?

  is it wrong to wear crosses or can it be a gothic thing that a witness can possibly understand?

  Question for Christians only

  ok, i got save in 1984 (left the wbts 1979).

  i have always felt at a loss when it has come to the emotional impact aspect of jesus' sacrifice.

  what i mean to say is, that i have seen other christians openly weep about jesus and his death on the cross, while i have felt nothing.

  And then to relive it all upon the cross until the great work was done for a selfish stuck up world such as ours and to be put to open shame by the ungrateful mob. I am amazed that we have the temerity to whinge about how our life can in any way be worse.

  To paraphrase Adam Sandler, "whoop-dee-do!". I know people who suffered excruciating pain from cancer for months and years on end, until finally dying at a young age. People have been tortured and murdered in much more grotesque and hideous fashions than Jesus ever was. So making it out like he died the most horrible, painful death in the history of humanity is complete bullsh*t, IMHO. I wonder what "selfish, stuck up world" you are referring to? Incredible how similar your mindset is to the typical JW. EVERYDAY, ordinary humans (not claiming to be the son of god) sacrifice their lives, to help their fellow human being. There is sacrifice and honour and human goodness all around us. What a pitiful world view you have and how miserable you really must be to hold your fellow human beings in such pious contempt. Sad indeed.

  I have my Ph.D. in neurobiology and I am presently a Professor in an academic research University with an active laboratory, 3 grad students, two post-doctoral fellows and a technician.

  Can you prepare solid meals?

  can you prepare interesting solid meals or do you not have the flare for it and instead prefer to live on take aways, restaurant meals or simple casual snack meals at home?

  i find it hard to concentrate on cooking though i always want to do it and i have actually put together some interesting recipes several times.

  there is a strange resistance blocking me.
