Yeah Eric's was awesome. We discovered it a few years before they closed and loved it so much.
We sure miss those sunset meals. Their fish was so good.
They relocated to Lahaina and became a sushi place near Hilo Hatties.

Heading to Maui for vacation
by Champion inthis will be our first trip to hawaii and we are flying from the northeast usa.
we will be staying about 8 days only on maui.

Alexanders Restaurant in Kihei for fish and chips. Next to the market that's great for shopping.
Someone mentioned spam musubi which is hilarious because I love it and my wife thinks it's so gross. TRY IT! (The only way to eat SPAM!) LOL
Seared ahi (tuna) also one of my favs when I'm in Hawai'i.
If you are on a budget like me go to Safeway and buy a piece of sushi grade ahi. Toast some sesame seeds in a pan. Fresh pepper the fish and roll in in the sesame seeds. In a hot pan sear the fish maybe a 1/2 minute a side and do all sides including the ends. It should be rare inside. Serve with Wasabi and soy sauce! FABULOUS!

If your staying in Lahaina, Longhi's for lunch. Kimos for dinner.
Eric's Seafood is closed now which is a shame 'cause it was great.
Bike down Haleakala. MUST DO. You have to get up at 2am so plan it early before the time change gets you.
Drive to Hana and beyond to the Oheo pools (seven sacred pools). Don't forget black sand beach and Hasagawa General Store.
Also check out the old church in Keanae (below) where "Jehova" is written on its sign.
If you have kids, baby beach is great near Lahaina. And if you want to go to a meeting they built a gorgeous new hall too.
I'm officially jealous!

People like Quotes have a 100% anti-witness stance and try to convince everyone that witness parents all beat their kids.
I find it offensive because I have raised my children with love and reasonableness and none of the kids I grew up with were lashed and beaten and none of my truth friends now BEAT their children.

I didn't mean to be insensitive to those who have endured abuse.
I just thought that someone just plunking that article down and presenting it as a normal way JWs raise children is deceitful because it is simply not true.
There are crazies everywhere.
If you see my critical posts of the Society you would see that I'm going crazy. However, the Society has never promoted beating children. Spanking maybe (which I did when my kids were small and because of it haven't had to in 6 years) but not lashing.

by whyamihere innow i know the topic may be thought of as abuse scenario, however it is not.....(i am sick of hearing about abuse).
i threw a party at my house(parents came home early)....anyway, as a punishment i was to sand and stain shingles for the house.
this was a huge job it took me 2 weeks to get it all done.

My parents said that if you get a spanking at the KH then you get a spanking when you get home. And they did!
I've learned now as a parent myself that you should not discipline a kid for something twice!

We had an MS a congregation away molest 2 young boys while taking them in service.
I played sports with an MS who was DF'd for beastiality.
I had a brother ask me once if I do it "porn style" with my wife and if she ever gives me "head".
