while watching the network's coverage on the election, i kept noticing how the announcers kept talking about what impact the rush limbaugh show might have on the republican vote... they felt his show might sway the votes away from mccain... .
now, all you conservatives out there, isn't it one of the biggest embarassments you can ever have, to know that rush limbaugh can have an effect on how your party votes?
if i knew that people thinking like rush limbaugh were voting for my candidate, that would automatically make me vote the other way.. i mean honestly, how can you not be embarrased that your party holds a man such as rush limbaugh in high esteem?
Yeah, I looked it up and now see that Fox didn't stop his meds. I only knew that to be the issue.
Pretty dumb-ass of Rush then.
BTW, on the other end of the spectrum: I didn't see anyone giving Rush kudos for apologizing.
Also BTW: I'm not a Rush fan and the last time I listened to him was about 6 years ago.
One last BTW: dawg, don't want to get into it but, if you think Bill Mayer is balanced then you are just as duped as Rush fans.

I don't mind Rush. Over-the-top right winger so I take him with a grain of salt.
No different than the over-the-top lefties like Olbermann or Maher or people like that. They get so angry that they are literally spitting into the camera.
As for the Michael J. Fox thing. I believe the issue was not his terrible disease or his defending stem cell research it was that he deliberately went off his medications before his testimony so that his symptoms would be worse. That's what I recall anyway.

i tried to make nice and leave religious discussion out of things.
however, i found a ny times article about the bossert going on the market and i sent them the link, thinking they'd simply find it interesting, as i did, with no comments from me, just the link.. the article cites the age and history of the bossert, calling it the 'waldorf-astoria of brooklyn' and does suggest potential for great profit on it sale.
i found it interesting that it says that it was built in 1909, the same year that jws set up shop in brooklyn.

started out like any other normal day..with plans to go to taos with my girlfriend and a good buddy o mine (wlg) sorry mang...had to give u some recognition on this one...anyhow..we went out to a nice place for some breakfast..wandered around taos, went to the taos pueblos to get a chance to watch the native americans dance at the taos pueblo...then we went out to the taos gorge..which for those who dont know is a quite big hole in the ground bout a mile down...the bridge is somewhat a daunting look down for ones who have never seen it before.... anyhow...my girlfriend at first refused to step one foot out onto the bridge but with a little coaxing and a promise to make sure she wouldnt fall off i gradually brought her out to the middle of the bridge where there is a small outcropping where one can stand and look out over the gorge...we stood there staring over the side of the bridge for a few minutes then i slowly took her hand in mine and looked deep into her eyes.... ....and i dropped to one knee....(quite funny too cuz initially she was like what are you doing?
)....i still had her hand in mine and she was staring down at me like i was doing something silly or humorous like is my usual personality trait...i stared at her for a minute or two and said a few sentances of which are too personal to bring up here and then i asked her to marry me..... she looked at me and said "what?!
