I am a bit p**sed off!
by hambeak ini have posted here before about my shop being burglarized.
a couple days ago 2 men broke into a business around the corner from mine.
after gaining access they broke through a wall getting into an electronics shop burglarizing them, not being satisfied they then climbed into an attic and attempted to rob a mr. gattis pizza they fell through the roof onto the kitchen floor.

Little children deserve to die at Armageddon

it disturbed me when i was a jw and it now just makes me plain angry.. here are some comments from ministerial servants & elders on this subject, which i heard when i was in:.
"you know, a while ago, people used to object to the idea of children dying at armageddon but nowadays there is a spirit in kids (massive generalisation), which just seems to make them fit for destruction.

What sucks also is that I'd be surprised if any of these people actually believe this sort of thing deep down, but they have no real explanation, so they make one up.
I can remember trying to rationalize these sorts of things and just not being able to. I can recall being pissed off, as a teen, when my dad told me that at some point, in the New System, we just wouldn't have children anymore. I argued with him pretty strongly about this. My question was how a loving God could take something so dear away from us as having children.
He was just trying to make sense of things.
It's too bad that some people just are so... desensitized to the pending violence they believe to be oh so close, of armageddon, and so disconnected from their fellow man as to really believe that this sort of sentiment is reasonable, rational and compassionate.

some people have tatoos all over their bodies, even on their faces.
there are also tatoo programs on the tlc channel that children can watch without a forewarning before the show comes on.

I think the problem is that so many Christians think that their religion sprang from nothing, that it has completely unique components.Littletoe, you admit that Christianity does not, though you contend that the results are unique. This, IMO, is a reasonable distinction. However, yours is also, in many an experience, a unique POV.

it would be my "educated guess" that the tatoo-craze was fomented by the very same groups to prepare the masses to accept the eventual mark of the beast

It's hard for me to understand how a person could be so desperate for other people to conform to their own "moral" compass (of course, tatoos have nothing to do with "morals"), that they would feel "very offended" by this. No, I see you are outraged. Well, that's about on par with me being "outraged" that someone would offend me by wearing a cross around their neck, in public *gasp*, where my child might be influenced by repressive, intolerant Christian values. Ridiculous, of course.

I am still AMAZED at how much I have learned and keep learning
by megsmomma inthis board has helped me so much in clearing my head and becoming myself.
i feel like i used to be such a shell of a person......and when i would hear the things the wtbts taught....i just numbly took it in and didn't really even really "hear" what they said.
then, i was so well "trained" to respond to questions from people that i could give the "right" answers to questions from studies....."wait on jehovah...." being a common one.. after i left years ago...i still wasn't free from the teachings.
