we know from the founding of the world, there is no flash of light or revelation, one matures with the spirit and knows when thier adoption is manifest and complete.

Who is this "we" and how can they profess such knowledge so self-assuredly? This contradicts what the bible, many other "holy" books and otherwise, and much personal experience tells people across the globe.

In any case, we are all "godlike" from birth, we have only (LOL! Yeah "only") to awaken to this, realize it, in order to use it consciously. The kingdom of God is within us.

Is Atheism/Evolutionism Dangerous? Questions for Unbelievers

does the belief that there is no all-loving diety in which to be accountable to make it easier or harder to treat and judge others they way that you want to be treated and judged?.

since evolution supposes that life and ultimately man who is at the top of the chain got here through a process of the fittest dominating and killing off the weaker, and since most modern evolutionists in democracies no longer think that this is good to practice, how do you deal with the fact that you are a living contradiction of your own belief since you pronounce the same thing both good and bad?

For techies - Network analyzer assist

client uses web-based product that requires persistent connection to remotely hosted appservers.client loses connection intermittently.packet analyzer log generated while issue occured.now, i don't have a whole lot of experience using packet analyzers, but i'm not an idiot at least.

the only thing i see that might be causing such a thing are some tcp zerowindows and subsequent tcp zerowindowprobes in the logs they've sent.

(yes, i've filtered it down to just the relevant ips for host and dest.).

Now, I don't have a whole lot of experience using packet analyzers, but I'm not an idiot at least. The only thing I see that might be causing such a thing are some TCP zerowindows and subsequent TCP zerowindowprobes in the logs they've sent. (Yes, I've filtered it down to just the relevant IPs for host and dest.)

From what I can tell, this may indicate a lower TCP buffer setting somewhere near their end.

Thoughts? (BTW, this is not the only place I'm posting this. I know that only a few people here would be of my target audience type.)

Oh, and HEY!! I haven't been around here in a bit. Good to see people still breathe here!

No matter what, it's never a good idea to compare your wife or girlfriend to your mother.

Is it okay, though, for women to compare their husbands or boyfriends to their fathers? What's the difference?

I am just rather put off by the hateful tone here. I understand some degree of resentment by someone who's had a particular experience with men, or women, repeatedly. However, it's only the fault of the person who made the bad choices to, repeatedly, continue to be with those types of people, and not the fault of the entire spread of the other gender.

It's no one's fault but one's own if they keep choosing partners from one small part of the broad spectrum of types of people in the world.

I know, funny-funny, but I don't find it all that funny, just rather demeaning.

More thoughts on Satan the Devil

the other day, we were discussing whether satan is a real person (fallen angel) or just the personification of evil.

i was trying to see people's thoughts on this topic because many christians i know claim satan is not real.

even clergy today teach this.

Also the logic is faulty. Can I play with demons as long as I'm not called one myself?

Either the serpent is symbolic of the opposer, or it's not. If you dig a bit more, perhaps outside of literature that is so appealing to your paradigm, you will find that it is more accurate that the serpent, including in the story of the "fall" of man, more accurately symbolises wisdom rather than necessarily opposition... unless... you're opposed to wisdom?
