The dad said "damn" during his part. He can't be a JW, right?
this is just a little bit of venting because i need it!
also i need to know what you think / your experiences.. ok. i leave jws and after a while i feel great about it.
i express how i feel to jws - they think i'm persecuting them!.
HI Sirona,
Just wanted to clarify what I said. I definetely don't think that JW's should razz their inactive/DFed relatives. When they stop by for one of their little visits and start trying to pry into my inactivity *problem*, I politely and casually ask them about their inactive/df relatives as sort of a "conversation stopper". I do this merely to take the attention off of me and to make them realize that perhaps, they needn't be so concerned with me.....they have other things closer to home that they can worry about if they want to worry. If they haven't been successful in reeling their relatives back in, whom they love and have nurtured in the cult, why are they wasting time trying to shame me back in..someone they don't really care about? It just sort of forces them to answer and think about something they don't want to and sometimes puts them on the defense like they do to other's when they make their unsolicited guilt trip vists. When they stop by, they do so from a position of superiority so when they are asked a few little personal questions, it seems to humble them abit. It's a small diversionary tactic, that's all. I don't think my asking about their relatives makes them go and hassle them and that certainly isn't my intention. Heck, I'm on the relatives side!
Thanks for your posts and the opportunity to rant!
hi ros, .
i was just wondering what the phrase "ouija please" means and what is it's significance?.

I used to have a Ouija board but I've gotta admit, this "Casting of Lot's" game sounds even more fun and interesting. Who makes it, Milton Bradley? I know what I'm putting on my Xmas list!
LOL apologizing in advance
for those of you inclined to prayer, i request it in behalf of my dad.
he is in the hospital for a blood clot in his leg, which is potentially quite dangerous.
he cannot move until it is dissolved, if that happens.
((Hugs)) to you Randy. Your Dad will be in my prayers.

i don't think any of this is really all that unusual so i'm sorry if you find it dull.
i was raised in the jw cult from birth, a third generation member to boot.
my family was full of elders, ministerial servants and overseers of all sorts.
Hi Aztec,
I can relate to much of what you've written. Welcome to the forum You're among friends.

the gb-laundry has to be washed seperately?
missionaries get a annual total-control visit (what do you do with the $$$) from the branch?
a yearly keep-up-the-good-work speach from the gb?
LOL@ gumby and Surreptitious!

the only reason i'm glad i became a jw is(and left)........ i have met many kind people here on these boards.. shera's sappy moment.... .
take care all
Shera...I feel just as sappy as you do. This board with all of the wonderful people has helped me so much. Many beautiful hearts, much high quality to be found here. LIke the JW illustration.....when the dross is removed(leaving the JW's), the pure and valuable gold is what you have. That's how I view the people here.

Just about every meddling JW I know has at least one, if not many family members DFed or inactive. It burns me up when they come around me, cocking their eyebrow at me for no longer attending when they have their own family member(s) to worry about and judge. Leave me the hell alone and go bug YOUR own family who has *left Jehovah*. When I have the occasional run in with one of these types and they start trying to discuss my *problem*, I make it a point to ask about their son, husband, daughter who is no longer a JW. I won't let them home in on me, I force them to think and respond about their family whom they've been unsuccessful in bringing back in. That's my own little way of dealing with these self righteous twits. I am always evasive about myself and refuse to play the shame game.

have you ever done something so imbarrasing that you can't make yourself look back or even think about the deed for a very long time?.
several months ago, i had a real bad day.
i was very bummed about my life and the losses i felt due to my jw experience.

Thanks for understanding and dismissing my drunken antics. I felt bad but realize that in the grand scheme of things....not a big deal.
Great to see you back on the board and I hope you are enjoying your new home! It sounds awesome!
