anyone feeling a wee bit guilty about celebrating Thanksgiving and Xmas??

i was feeling a bit guilty about celebrating as this is my 1st year out and i know the history of all the holidays and birthdays are pagan or bloody or idolatrous.. .

but i was thinking that it's not what someone made them in the past but what they are right now.. to us, at this moment.

am i going to sit down on thanksgiving.. and say, "i hate those indians, think i'll go kill some"..????

I would shop after xmas, wrap the gifts for my kids . I felt sorry for them. So they receive toys. But the wife a different story. I guess it was silly, but the kids now grown remerber those happy times. When Kwanzaa gain popularity the gifts for kids came later.

Years ago in early 80,s I was a young elder 30yrs. old. A young couple , young infant baby girl needed blood to live. I was call by the wife mother to come and offer encouragement because the doctor was applying a lot of pressure to take the blood. This was there first child. I told the doctor this is not my decision. And then i pull the father aside and I told him this is your decision you and your wife, not your mother in law . I did not talk to him or offer any scripture reason why not take the blood. The mother in law kept the pressure on. The child died . I gave the funeral talk. And because we live in a very small town, the community heard about the death. I was blamed for child death.We as elders have a lot to answer for before GOD.Misleading so many souls.

Special Assembly 2-Day 2,000 delegates and TWO baptisms!

just got back from the special one day assembly and had to share this important info.

only two baptisms today; two girls about 15-16 out of 2,000 attendees.. i stumbled more than two with my anti-witnessing.

i posted un expose material in the bathrooms along with pre and post nov 1995 1914 generation belief.. incidentally, attendance was down almost 25% over last year as well.

the days of the mighty men Gen 6;1-7... The angels comes to earth and take any woman they please. Take them as thier wives. If a angel came to me and told me I want your daughter for my wife,what are you going to say, well yes my my son in law is a angel. Now they have a son ,he become a mighty man. The world become fill with wickedness Nephilim, my grandson. Who get blame me and the other men who approved the daughter marriages. So the world is doom because angels came from where I do not know, all I knew they were angeles that was good anough for me. The angels may have receive information not to marry the daughters of men, but I DO NOT THINK earth got the same info. And one other thing why only male angels, why not female angels.

THANK YOU. I WILL BE HAPPY TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE. WHEN I READ THE DISCUSSION CONCERNING SUICIDES I HAD TO RESPOND. MY TWO SONS FOLLOW ME OUT OF THE CULT. WE UNDER WENT SOME DIFFICULT TIMES. THEY WERE BOTH ON A ROAD TO A YOUNG DEATH. WHEN I GOT OUT THERE WASN,T A LOT OF SUPPORT. WE MADE IT . ONE SON IS GRADUATING FROM UCLA AND OTHER IS ENJOYING A CAREER IN THE COAST GUARDS. BOTH MY BOYS THOUGHT OF SUICIDE.

My late sister profess to be of 144000. Last year she died, her death could have been prevented.

She refuse a simple operation because the Brooklyn medical center (wt) information. I have been out since 1987, once a elder 20 yrs. in cult. The years in the cult I thought my sister was one of most intelligent person I had know. Since being out a number of years I realize she was a couple cents short of a nickle,I can say this because she was my sister. Due to her abusive husband , a elder I may add, for this reason years of abusiveness I believe she wanted to end it.

She refuse to see me before she died. My sister and brothers who is not a JW could not understand why my sister who was dying , would not allow me to see her in her dying hours to say good by. To make a long story . The day of the funeral in Pasadena Ca. My sister funeral Dorothy, I went to a UCLA football game. The bus I was on pass the Kingdom Hall at the time of funeral. The hall was full. My family that are not JW understood why I did not attend. The family that are JW and JW members thought it was terrible that I did not attend MY SISTER FUNERAL. If she is one 144000 in heaven GOD HELP US.

I HAVE BEEN OUT SINCE 1987, WAS A ELDER. HALF MY FAMILY ARE JW, THE OTHERS ARE STRONG BAPTIST. I MADE MY REGRETS TO ALL MY FAMILY ALSO TO OLD SCHOOL FRIENDS. FOR NOT RETURNING CALLS FROM OLD CLASS MATE WHO WAS CALLING JUST TO SEE HOW I WAS DOING.FOR MISSING MY MOTHER 80th BIRTHBIRTH MY FATHER 70th BIRTHDAY. MY BEST FRIEND IN HIGH SCHOOL WHO ASK ME TO BE BEST MAN IN WEDDING. I HAVE APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE THAT NEW ME BEFORE I WAS A JW AND ALSO THOSE THAT NEW AS A JW. I TOLD THEM I LOST MY MIND FOR 18YRS.

i'm thrilled to tell you about the latest court decision made in california a few days ago which kimberlee norris said would be announced today, monday, on jwd.. on july 3rd, i started a thread where the last two rulings in the napa county, california lawsuit, charissa w. v. watchtower, new york, et al., were posted.

both decisions were favorable to the plaintiff.
