  Hard time coping with shunning

  it's almost 1am and i can't sleep...again.

  i hate to think the organization is still taking my sleep from me 16 years later but i can't help it.

  i run a page on social media for ex jw support and advice and i'm usually there helping others but it definitely takes a toll on me when i'm having to argue and disprove jws that troll my page.

  If it wasn't for shunning I would still be going to

  the KH, thinking it may not be for me, can't cut the mustard.

  But good for my family..

  there are a number of such observations being recently made - such as a large number with debts subject to collection and people facing retirement with no savings.. i advise the wts to 'take the money and run'.

  Is taking a blood transfusion a "Disfellowshipping or Disassoication" offense?

  i remember back in the day when i was a devout jw in the 90s elders would go to the hospital to try and see if a person took a blood transfusion.

  i remember my cousin was having surgery after a severe car accident and if he did not take blood the doctor said he would have died.

  the elder came to the hospital and badgered my cousin's wife until she told him my cousin did get some blood.

  New in the borg (1-2 years) an incident took place at a beach

  party (the good old days), my daughter became ill (5 years old).

  We took her to the emergency that evening, the diagnose possibly

  sickle cell anemia, the worst for a JW.

  An elder came to the hospital the next day while tests were done

  on my daughter. Our first child, needless to say we (wife and I)

  were note in our right minds.

  He the elder explain to us that under no circumstances should we

  take blood (1972).

  Ok, the Elder credentials (he was a good brother I must say), he

  retired from the city as a garbage collector with a 9th grade education.

  WTH. The sad thing, I was willing to obey. But fortunately she didn't

  have sickle cell, she was allergic to sea shells...

  I echo the sentiments of Flipper "they are mentally ill

  due to the WT mind control cult programmomg". They

  don't think beyond what the GB tell them..

  I have a sister-in-law that is in the early stage of Alzheimer's

  disease (all timers). It hurts when someone so close and they have

  no idea who you are...But your JW family is feeling the same pain, they

  remember. You don't think they are up some nights thinking, what

  the hell is this, this is nuts. I get word from others about my

  JW daughter, tell Dad I miss him and I love him..

  Something have to break, there are too many families being

  destroyed by this madness...

  The shunning effects them just as much as it keep you awake at nights,

  if not they are not normal...

  i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

  i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

  it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

  LVL101: WOW! If we could come up with a universal

  cure for shutting the mind down or insomnia we would be rich.LOL

  I'm sorry but one wonder why JW's are so against College,

  look at that belief of Mormons. They encourage higher edcucation

  and their numbers are higher. WTH, they have some bizarre

  teaching even stranger then JW's and yet people are not leaving in

  droves...It's puzzling to me, how can anyone attend a University or

  College and not question some of the teaching in the Bible.. It just beat

  the hell out of me......

  Cold Steel, question for you.

  Mormons teaching.

  A great council or meeting in heaven, the grand council was

  an opportunity fro God to gather his spirit children around him

  and present a plan for their salvation.

  1) why, they were in heaven..

  They teach that in pre-earth life people were given opportunities

  to learn and make choices, so Angels or Spirits can learn from humans.

  It had come to a point where God's children had learned all they

  could in their existence as spirits. Right so far????

  2) So who where the people here on earth that spirits could learn from???

  God wanted them to progress further. He knew that the only way

  was for them to be separated from his presence and be tested and trained.

  He told them that he could create a place-earth- where they could go

  down and receive a mortal body and learn to have faith in Him.

  3) Ok, they are supposedly to learn from humans??

  4)Are the humans, Angels from heaven who is here for training???

  I know Adam and Eve sinned in heaven so they were sent here, earth.

  In other words, God sent down others from heaven besides Adam and EVE????

  That would make more sense if they were sent to earth and no

  need for a lot speculation...Maybe I should read the Quran.....
