  Has anyone else tried the crazy approach to fading

  during my fade i started acting more and more bizarre (not brushing my hair, clothes that did not match, sleeping during meetings, non-sequitur answers) and i found that it really helped because most of the rank and file just thought i was bat sh*t crazy, and the elders were kind of happy not to have to deal with me.

  so has anyone done something similar?.

  regular pioneer (that,s what it was call , not sure what it

  Seeking counsel from active or former Elders / COs / DOs

  if you are/were not an elder and wish to comment, by all means do so, but please preface your comment accordingly.

  if you are posing as an elder, please, please refrain from responding lest you inadvertantly do some damage.. i have been provided hypothetical consequences from the membership at large, now request the answer from a position of authority.. the question.. if the elders in my wife's congregation should decide that i have become a spiritual danger to her, how would they advise her?

  Elder in the 80,s. Things may be different today, but when

  I was A elder if A brother or sister commit adultery we counsel

  them too forgive, we point out that others in the Bible have

  done for worst etc. But apostasy that,s A different story, they

  believe not only are you A danger to your wife but to the

  cong. I believe they take A hard line approach. Maybe

  recent ex-elders have A different veiw, again I left in 1985

  as A elder.. A different Org. today..

  don't get all excited...i don't mean lastnight.

  spankings were a regular occurence in my family, and don't think that was uncommon for born-in jws.

  my parents loved the line "we spank you because we love you.

  slap you on the back of your nogood, we have A reprieve. A study

  conduted by Psychology Professor Marjorie Gunnoe at Calvin college

  in Grand Ripids Michigan in 2010, Foxnews. com reports on the story.

  According to the research, children spanked up to the age of 6

  were likely as teenagers to perform better at school and were

  more likely to carry out volunteer work and want to go to

  college than their peers who had never been physically

  disciplined. So there you have it. My kids felt the same as you guys.

  I showed them the article. But seriously, we thought we were

  doing the right thing.

  Two times , once when I set our store on fire, and the

  second time I deface the front of our home. It was

  more like A beating then A spanking.

  so did the 'da society' give these dub internet savvies permission to start a forum?

  because last i checked, the ole boys in their oversized brooklyn bunker didn't want their members on the internet unless it was to view their own official websites.

  i thought maybe it was an apostate forum until i read their long winded, typically condescending jdub style membership guidelines:.

  James Wood; JW- only private schools in Calif.

  I personally knew of one school in Pasdena Ca and

  the Brother who open the school, (A elder name Martian).

  In fact my sister-law work at the shool. The reason that

  was given to close the school , it defeat the purpose of

  being A JW, the opportunity to witness to your class mates.

  Why not use the same line of reasoning, what A great

  opportunity to witness to others ( on the net).

  what was the worst meeting you ever attended ?

  here's mine :.

  back in the early 90's we went to the sunday talk and wt study.. lo and behold, a friend from the 70's who was df'ed ( he had just been reinstated) was there along with his parents.

  i had no idea that they would have been there.. one of my kids was getting sick, so my wife and i were up-down the entire meeting walking him around.

  My first elder meeting at the Circuit Ass. Talk about the power

  struggle. I was looking forward to my first meeting with all

  the elders in the Circuit, to see first hand Gods active force

  at work. At one point doing the meeting the CO , in A loud

  voice, brother do you question my authority. One would

  think that you were in business meeting, not A meeting

  concern about the sheep, and the needs of the Circuit.
