How can a female go out with a bang?
by unbeliever inmy friend told me that she knows of someone who wants to make a grand exit.
it's just a matter of time before she is df'd.
because she is on reproof and well has a vagina she cannot announce her da from the stage.

Although considered bottom of God's ladder women can still answer. She could put her hand up and give a great answer on what she feels, try to do it before the night the elders are going to announce her. If she is on reproof she may not get asked to answer. She would need to put her hand up when a MS is asking the questions, he may forget she is on reproof. I would love to see what everyone does, and how long it would take for some one to tackle her and grab the microphone off her.

Source of Flood Waters
by VM44 ini do not have access right now to the watchtower cd library, could someone check and tell me what the watchotwer now says is the source for the great flood waters?.
do they still believe the theory of isaac vail that the waters came from above and that there was a water canopy in orbit about the earth?
or does the watchtower now say that the canopy was a vapor layer, not in orbit, but a simply above the atmosphere?.

I gave a public talk on the flood once. The Watchtower claims it all came from the canopy though there has been discussion amongst witnesses that the bible could indicate waters burst forth from the water tables below the landmasses. The research I did indicated that the total possible volume of water that can be physically contained in the clouds taking into consideration gravity etc could only cover the globe meters, not the required several kilometers to cover mount Everest. The Society knows this, hence the concept that the earth was far flatter and the mountains rose under the pressure of the flood waters. The huge rearrangement of continents necessary to create the mountains along with the massive volcanoes necessary would have created significant tsunamis that circled the globe, destroying the ark. What this also means is that everything that existed before the flood was destroyed, all evidence of any civilisation would have been totally lost. For the bible flood story to be true it indicates recorded human history can only go back 4000 years. The way to prove that the flood did not happen 4000 years ago as stated in the bible is to look at civilisation itself. There is plenty of evidence of a range of sources that Aboriginals have lived in Australia more then 4000 years. There is also much evidence and time lines of kings that prove Egyptian history went back more then 4000 years. Quite simply, it is scientifically, genetically and archealogically impossible for a global flood 4000 years ago.

what proves jw's aren't true?
by jwfacts ini am inactive and it took years of doubt to convince myself the jw's arent true.
i started doubting because i hated the idea that jehovah would kill 6 billion non-jw's.
the thing now that is the most important proof for me is that until 1954 jw's worshipped jesus and it is still in the watchtower charter, even though you now get disfellowshipped for worshipping jesus.

Russell and Rutherford said we have to worship and pray to Jesus, as well as Jehovah. When the Society brought out the NWT in the 1950's they started to say that worshipping Jesus was idolatry. In 1954 was the first article that plainly stated a Witness must not worship Jesus. This is a major change in doctrine, and i would love to know what the poor Witnesses thought when it came out. I have an article about in on www.jwfacts.com

What Were Your Experiences In Dating JWs?
by minimus inwere they all dates from hell?

I got into quite a bit of guilt ridden heavy petting. When I was pioneering I got pretty carried away with another pioneer on and off for a few years. One day i was Witnessing at a secluded house and we were fondling becuase no one was home when the owner drove up the drive. Totally embarrasing. Anyway i confessed a few years later, when i was in bethel. The elders felt i was repentant and said that since the girl was still pioneering Jehovah was blessing her too, and so she must have been repentant.

just created a site www.jwfacts.com
by jwfacts ini just put together a site that tries to logically show the witnesses are not the true religion.
just wondering how to get the information out to people that most need it.
also any ideas on how to get the site found by search engines.

thank you for the help. I will look to edit it and add to it. It is so hard not to put in the 'loaded' words as I got quite emotional when doing all the research.

Thanks for the answers. I am amazed at how many different reasons there are. I cant believe how quickly i went from thinking the watchtower is the 'voice of God' and every doctrine is correct, to realising that very little has any substance at all. The more i look at doctrine the more i understand that the reason the witnesses are different to others is because they are wrong, and not because they are special in a world blinded by Satan.

I was wondering what is the most convincing proof to you guys that the jw's are false.

Mothers Doubts: Latest Update
by diamondblue1974 infurther to my previous thread i thought i would share an update with you on the situation with my mother... .
essentially my mother has been a jw for 30 years and we had a long conversation which involved me running through my reasons for no longer going to the meetings; she seemed quite receptive and agreed for me to send the documents and articles relating to the un.
well that very evening she went to see her elders without actually seeing the documents and asked about the un saga....apparently the elder told her that 'this was all sorted out ages ago and yes this has come from the apostates' 'the society has never been a member of the un and that this just a hoax designed to stumble people....' hmmn.

i have the same situation, i have recently decided to leave and virtually all my family on all sides are witnesses. i would love to help them see reality, but dont know if it will help. i think most people are followers, they want to belief something, they want to be told, and knowing any different is of no benefit. if someone is not happy in their religion then they should be helped leave, but if it brings them peace it is best to let them be. i have to admit though that it is easy to say, but very hard to apply when your own family are witnesses. i would dearly love them not to be in such a judgemental and controlling religion

Hi, I just put together a site that tries to logically show the Witnesses are not the true religion. Just wondering how to get the information out to people that most need it. Also any ideas on how to get the site found by search engines. And while i am at it, if anyone can be bothered reading it, any constructive thoughts about it. thanks
