Back to the topic, yes blood is an organ transplant, and to transplant organs but not blood doesnt make sense to me either. There are so many unusual situations that arrive in medicine these days that it is mad for an organisation to feel it has the right to dictate beyond the word of God. Ones conscience before God should determine what a person finds acceptable. Otherwise you get the ongoing situation where the WTS keeps changing the rules, affecting peoples lives in the process. To be a JW is a cope out of life, as it is trying to hand your decision making process over to others.

A new climax in immorality. Or "normal" practise?
by Erich indo you think awake would find it immoral enough to drop a line, or - does such a practise even agree with bible`s minimum standards?
don`t forget: organ-transplant is allowed.
there is no verse in bible found condemning such practise.... see:.

If you meet with them anything you say or do will be held against you. They have their two witnesses. If you dont meet with them it is very difficult to prove an accusation on apostasy if you have not been telling anyone how you feel.

WTBTS Receives Award From Blood Management
by Gerard inoops.
corrupted link.
http://www.jw-media.org/ and cclick on the health and medicine link.it is the first article in the list entitled "society for the advancement of blood management recognizes a primary source of information regarding transfusion alternatives" .

Doctors have been searching for bloodless alternatives since the early 1900's, well before JWs were forbidden transfusions. The way that JWs have helped in progressing the field is their willingness to be the sacfrificial guinea pigs, due to not having any other alternative.
I think that the GB have held off allowing transfusions in the hope that an alternative as good as blood will soon be available, and must be quite worried that it has taken so long. Hemopure and Biopure are getting close and unfortunately when they are perfected I think the heat will be off JW's. -

I have just lodged a request for my congregation records, citing the Australian Privacy Act. I will tell you how it goes. The elders manual does imply that they may use ecclesiastical priviledge to deny handing it over, but the Privacy Act is quite direct that a person must be given access to any information contained about them, and destroyed on request unless required to be retained by law.

He should not attend the judicial meeting. This is taken as showing he does not recognise himself as a Jehovahs Witness. As he has not been one for 10 years they should leave him alone.
I am currently exploring legal options and when i have more information i will post it as a new thread. I have just spoken to the bethel legal department and they do not consider the laws of the land to apply to them in disfellowshipping situations. The following thread has good information. It shows the probable futility of legal action, but gives some letters you can give to hopefully scare the elders off.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/88660/1.ashxSeeker wrote a good letter. Say that after 10 years away you are not recognised as a JW and so need not be harrassed according to the elders handbook. Then use information from one of the letters to scare the elders off, making it all seem too hard. Either a cease and desist legal order or a request for copious amounts of written work before you can decide if it would be wise to meet with them.

Blood and sacrifice alternative view point
by Spectrum infrom the jw point of view as 'christians' they are bound by all the new and some old testament laws.
it would be a farce if they copped out every time things got hard, they might as well have a corporate merger with the catholics.
acts 15:20 clearly states that the new christians that are being recruited should abstain from blood amongst other things.

Spectrum,
Russell felt eating blood was acceeptable as do many other Christian religions for a very simple reason. Acts only applied to congregations mixed with Jews and Gentiles, as the eating of blood was stumbling the Jews. Remember that Acts also says to abstain from food sacfrificed to idols. Are JWs allowed to eat food sacrificed to idols? Yes, because Paul says that it is acceptable to eat food sacrificed to idols if it does not stumble someone. It is the same principle for blood. Never is blood mentioned as a reason for disfellowshipping for this very reason.

I have done a detailed but simple to understand summary of the laws on blood, the historical changes by the WTS, and the hypocrisy of the current stand. -

More realistic is what one of my friends did to a dog at a door. A ratty little dog was nipping at him so he football kicked it through the air and into the garden, just as one very irate dog owner opened the door. Needless to say she did not choose to take the magazines, start a bible study get baptised and live happily ever after in paradise on earth. Does that make my friend bloodguilty? (Strange coincidence but my upcoming judicial committee is being chaired by that friends brother.)

What's the worst response a person ever said to you in the field service?
by JH ini remember knocking on a door in the field service, and the girl who answered the door, looked at me and said in french, "allez vous faire crosser" .
although i didn't laugh, i found it very funny.
the brother with me also had a smile on his face, but didn't say a word, as we walked back to the car.

Another person was outside hosing their garden and said if i stepped on his property he would hose me. -

I have a lawyer in Australia interested in the BLOOD NEWS
by jwfacts inthe elders came to me last night inviting me to a meeting on the charge of apostasy.
i told them that i will not come and that if i am announced from the platform i will sue each elder involved in my case personally.
(i had been having a few end of year drinks at work just before they arrived unannounced at my door so was unusally bold and forceful) anyway today i went to the lawyer that i have been using for business dealings to discuss the situation and to ask for a letter to be drafted that i can send out to the individual elders.

I have to make clear that I only spoke to him this evening and he has not yet read the information, so I will need to wait until he can digest it and know whether it is something that he believes can be won in Australia. I am meeting with him tomorrow and will keep everyone posted as to what his conclusions are.

SERVICE REPORT 2005 : WATCHTOWER FEB 1ST 2006
by BluesBrother ini have had a quick look and found no references to this, so - here goes..as in the mag we picked up on sunday.. worldwide % increase over 2004 = 1.3%.
memorial partakers 8524 (compared to 8570 in 2004).
most european and nth american lands show pretty static figs - britain 1% increase, canada 0%, germany 0%, france 1%, usa 0%... but spare a thought for the inhabitants of zambia where 1 person in 90 is a reporting witness, must be hell going down to the local market!

Memorial attendance is a sham. I remember counting and me, even as a teenager got to choose who was old enough to count. If a kid is around five and looks alert you count them, if they look doppy you don't. Anyone younger doesnt get counted. With hall attendance you count the same way. So when they say we have 100 publishers but 110 attendees what people dont realise is the attendees includes kids who are not publishers, another sham.
The only figure of any significance is publishers. That too is a sham, as now people can be counted if they report only 15min a month, a false way to increase the numbers.
Pioneers are down, despite only having to do 70 hours a month. A few years it was 83 hours, and before that it was 100.
Whatever the WTS does to try to cook the books it can not hide the obvious truth, the growth and activity is starting to grind to a halt.
