The 2014 Grand Totals page has been released onto Facebook.
I have started updating the statistics and graphs at jwfacts.com/watchtower/statistics.php, and will release highlights as I work through it during the rest of the day.

a currently active jdub acquaintance occasionally stops by to say hello and we share a wee dram or two.
after the general small talk of new cars, exotic vacations and sports we often get into the "why" we are xjubs.
he is a well educated publisher who holds a phd in child psychology.
Seriously, almost everything has a pagan origin.
There is a list of a few pagan things that JWs can and cannot do at jwfacts.com/watchtower/quotes/pagan-practices.php.
i looked up the estimated revenue of jw.org using http://www.siteworthtraffic.com/ and was shocked at the results.
not only are they saving money on printing psychical books/magazines, but they're also making a tidy sum romtheir "free" website created and maintained by volunteers.
i spoke with a jw recently who was very proud to tell me just how good their website was and that they provided it free of charge.
Google don't pay money for when a site appears in their search results. The opposite in fact, as some of the first results and side results appear there because people pay them money for the spot. They only pay money if you place their ads on your site and then people click on the ad.
JW.org gets a huge amount of visitors, since all JWs are encouraged to visit it on a regular basis to download literature etc, a captive audience of 7 million people. That saves them the money of printing excessive literature, but it does not make them money. They also hope it will generate new forms of marketing leading to conversions, but that does not seem to have played out in any significant manner.

I think that site estimates money that could be made from that number of page views if they were running ads. Since they are not they are not receiving that sort of revenue.
I ran a report from siteworth for jwfacts.com and the results were vastly different from how many users I receive or the revenue I get from Adwords, so I don't know how they are generating their statistics.
1) science and technology appeared as a savior to mankind, yet the overall result points to the opposite direction.. http://aeon.co/magazine/science/why-has-human-progress-ground-to-a-halt/.
2) john kerry warns of catastrophe if climate change is not tackled.

Science and technology appeared as a savior to mankind,
What does that even mean?
Science and technology appeared as a savior to mankind,
If you at going to pay out science then I hope you don't tak advantage of doctors, medicine, cars or public transport, computers and the Internet, otherwise you are a hypocrite.
i live in the usa and want to ship my game consoles (xbox, playstation, wi, ect), laptop, and other items to my wife's family in the philippines.
i've used a company locally that ships there at a fix price of $90 per box.
so whatever i fit in the box will ship at that rate regardless of weight.
My wife sends a fixed rate box over on a regular basis, including a PS3 and we've never had anything stolen.
i went to the mall recently .....omg!
glad i don't have to go through all the craziness over christmas shopping..
Christmas is amazing and the best time of the year. My son's joy is abundant proof of how much I and other JWs missed out. It only is as materialistic as you allow it to be.
yes it happen again with our youngest son.
this last monday we got a letter from him telling us how unloving we are because we are no longer jw.
cult and not had kids.
I agree that the approach you are planning to take is spot on. At the moment he feels in the upper position as he thinks you know you are doing something wrong and it is still the truth. Once you are firm that it is a cult and you will not be returning, but love him regardless, then he becomes the one having to justify his stance. The balance of power shifts. It may not bring him back to you, but it does seem to change the dynamics Of the relationship in youR favour.
eight year old getting baptized!
(from a jw site.
this 8 year old sister was the youngest of the 31 who were baptized at a regional convention in bogo city, cebu, philippines on the weekend.
She looks so young and small, not much older than my son. My son talks constantly about the meaning of life, where life began, religion, yet I couldn't imagine thinking he was ready to commit himself to a particular belief for the rest of his life.
My wife is a Filipina and her family are JW's, Catholic, Inglesi de Christo, and Mormon; and my wife I think believes in God but not religion. One JW changed to Mormon. They really love their high control religious groups.
apologies if this has been asked before, but i couldn't find a thread where the focus was specifically this yes-or-no question.
reach back in your memories to when you were at the peak of your faith in the religion, and tell me honestly:.
"did you, personally, believe that non-witnesses would die at armageddon, even if they hadn't gotten to hear the message at all?".
I believed it, since that is what the Watchtower taught, but was greatly troubled by it. My mother believed it and felt Worldly people deserved it. My CO father though did not, but felt God will judge hearts. That came as a shock.
