The official relationship between Jehovahs Witnessses and the Watchtower? I'm confused.

whenever i tell people i'm ex jehovahs witnesses, they always assume that i'm against the jehovahs witnesses, but i am more so against the watchtower then anything.people assume that i'm anti-jehovahs witness, but now that i've done more research i've realized that its the watchtower thats more harmful then the jehovahs witnesses, even though theres a lot of jehovahs witnesses i dont like, i'm not against jehovahs witnesses as a group.. can anyone explain this to me?.

Has anyone any contacts in Australia specifically Jehovah Witnesses

i was just thinking, since this arc thing, does anyone here know any one in australia, that knows about the arc or how it's affecting the jw's there.
i used to go to a site that had a really nice person who is a jw, he never argued or debated, never sent back hateful comments, & he lives in australia.

Words omitted from a Watchtower article
by Doug Mason ina short time ago i sought information regarding a quotation in the watchtower of april 1, 2010, which did not identify the exact source of the quotation from professor oskar skarsaune.
my interest was heightened because words had been omitted from the source.. the wts provided a copy of the original 29-page article, which is in norwegian.. here is my very unofficial personal translation of the passage from professor skarsaune's article that the watchtower is quoting.
firstly i provide the text as it appears in the watchtower magazine, highlighting where the text has been omitted.

Reading the original, unedited quotes, I find it difficult to comprehend the reasoning behind omitting those other words. It doesn't really affect too much what he wrote, and I see no good reason for even omitting them.Watchtower wants followers to think that the Bible Canon was closed by the Apostles, not at some later period by the Church. Research into topic reveals that several different Bible Canons available, and it becomes obvious that the Bible in not a selection of books compiled by God's direction, but rather varied depending on the choices of men and the church over the centuries.

Like The Girl Next Door I had sex before marriage and felt like I had no option but to get married. I had no idea who I was or what I wanted. Without the pressure of religious expectations I would not have married anyone when I did. -

I asked my wife why the memorial was not on Nissan 14 in April, and why is it in March

i than asked her.....why is the memorial in march and not in april when nissan 14 is?.
her response..."pray to jehovah for understanding.

How to spot faders or "closeted" apostates in a congregation / meeting?
by nevaagain inso i am awoken for several years now (never really bought the cool aid) but for family reasons i am still enduring everything.
but my wife knows ... .
anyway so yesterday we had this boring meeting and as i was sitting there trying to make time pass faster i looked around me and i thought who else feels the same as me and is completely bored?

Be careful with approaching anyone thinking they are a fader. I assumed a few were in my congregation by comments they had made, or how irregular they were, but they were all very annoyed when I discussed that I did not believe it was the Truth.
The best indicator may be people that mutter or shake their heads when dogmatic comments are made from the platform.

Jookbeard - yes, not even that many. I've never met a person that has any idea what the JWs think the good news of the kingdom is. Even the ones that know that 144000 go to heaven don't realise the rest are supposed to be on paradise earth -

by brandnew ini have a question.....if two jw have sex and only one of them goes to the eldurrs and confesses.....do they both get busted?
or does the boe need a confession from both people.?
if one of em denies it happened will that person still get df'd?.

I had a friend walk in on her husband having sex. Because he would not confess she was not allowed to divorce him and he was not disfellowshipped. Yet she is still a JW despite such lunacy. -
