After I was "ousted" because I don't believe
Jesus came invisibly in 1914. They taught my loved ones I was the devils tool.
So of course they obey the False prophet ....How many did YOU separate by false teaching?
Grace GoughMouthy, one does not need to lose family in order to feel pain and loss. Do you think its easy for someone to wake up and realize that the things they hoped for will never come to be? We all have pain and it is not your place to judge the degree of someone else’s pain, you can't possibly know how much another person aches! Second, the heart wants what the hearts wants, yeah the Watchtower endorses shunning but they are not 100% responsible for your family shunning you, if your family cared enough about they would do whatever it took to be with you. Third, how many people have you separated from their families by encouraging a course of action that you KNOW will cause them to be labeled apostates and be shunned by their friends and family?

I don’t think very many people here are going to argue that illegal immigration is not a problem, nor will anyone say that it should be accepted. I think we all agree that this administration needs to tackle the issue sooner rather than later.
The problem with this law is the fact that it singles out a single group of people, I as a Mexican woman with dark skin, eyes and hair am more likely to get pulled over and questioned than say my pasty British boyfriend. You don’t ever hear people saying “man I hate illegal Filipinos, why can’t we deport them?” it’s always Mexicans that are targeted, if you want to test my theory out go on the LA Times and check out their comments section, then come back here and tell me that I’m wrong. The passing of this law has allowed so many bigots to come out but they don’t call themselves racists they use the guise of being “concerned Americans” to justify their bigotry.
If illegal immigration was going to crush this country it would have done so decades ago, but it hasn’t. The US has prospered and grown with the help of the illegal workers that so many now want gone. This has nothing to do with people being concerned about people coming here illegally and everything to do with the fact that now that the economy is in the toilet you need someone to blame for it.
Where were you hypocrites during the Bush years? How many of you were outraged at the fact that he never did anything during his two terms to try and put a stop to illegal immigration? Oh wait, that’s not right he did have this brilliant idea to build a giant fence, how did that work out? And the same people that gave Bush a pass for eight years want Obama to have a solution for it “now”.
If you want someone to blame for the state our country is in don’t blame those people that come here trying to make a better life for themselves and their children, those who break their backs doing honest work, some of whom work 7 days a week just to put food on the table. The people that you now want to toss out are the same people that did work many others wouldn’t touch, at least not for the pay. These people were good enough to clean your houses, fix your cars, cook your food, clean the piss of off your dirty bathrooms, pick your produce and wipe the snot of off your kids’ faces when you couldn’t be bothered and now suddenly they are the enemy? What a joke.
If you want to point fingers why don’t we start with the Bush administration? Bush had EIGHT years to tackle illegal immigration and never bothered. He did however get us into two questionable wars that have cost us trillions of dollars, money that could have been put to better use here, making schools better, providing health care to Americans so that no one ever has to chose between seeing a doctor or paying the rent.
Lets also look at the companies that have sailed ship to lower their costs and maximize their profits, you wanna know why there are no jobs? It’s not because of Jose, it’s because a CEO thought it best to pay Amir in India 4 dollars a day rather than paying an American worker 8.75 an hour. It’s time we all cut the bullshit and look at ourselves and what our role in all this is. As Americans we spent money we didn’t have, bought $40,000 SUVs that we couldn’t afford, got huge mortgages that we could never pay back, because really darling who buys a house with no granite counter tops? We put things on plastic without ever giving a second thought to how we would pay it back and it came back and bit us in the ass.

As a Woman Have your Attitudes Towards Men Changed After Exiting JW's ?
by flipper inbeing raised in the jehovah's witnesses cult from birth - i saw many females mistreated, abused in a demeaning manner whether subtly or right out in the open.
before congregation meetings in the 1960's even as a boy i saw an elder talk rudely to his wife as if she was a child- and the wife put her head down in sadness.
i saw jw men take themselves way too seriously as alleged " heads of their house " - because the wt society pushed the headship issue into every witness marriage.

I guess it's changed in that, it no longer feels wrong to want to be with someone who has ambition (hmmm not sure if that's the word I was looking for but I think it will do). As a witness you are taught to just want a partner thats "spiritual" and puts the "truth" above everything else. It always felt wrong to want a partner who actually had a job that paid above minimum wage. When in every other meeting you are told to not be materialistic, well it has a way of messing with your mind, once you leave the org you start to realize that there's nothing wrong with wanting to do well in life. I don't want to have millions of dollars but I also dont want to struggle.

If YOU Could Be Picked For a TV Date What Would Make You So Desirable?
by minimus ini watch this new jerry springer show called baggage and basically everyone has some "baggage" but the contestants have an opportunity to try to sell themselves over the other person and the person with the most personal baggage has to leave.. what would make someone want to pick you as a better date or mate than another?
(just for fun, you can answer this even if you have a significant other)..

Do you shop from TV, HSN, QVC or from infomercials?
by littlerockguy ini find myself taking advantage from outlets like hsn and online shopping for different reasons, one basic reason being that i hate the experience of going to wal mart or some other dept store only to find the item out of stock, long lines and stuff, and not to mention not having what you want in the first place.. i buy skincare products (certain brand i have been using for a long time) from hsn when they have special deals on it better than i can get off ebay and i also buy certain andrew lessman vitamins when he has specials on it and other stuff from hsn.. it's basically it's website i order my stuff.
many times when you order from online the shipping and handling and even setting up of stuff is free, unlike when you order from a big box dept store.
i also buy most of my books online through amazon and ebay.

Thank you all for your thoughts! I struggle a lot with what to do, as many of you have said sometimes it feels like by helping her we are enabling her behavior, she has us for free babysitting, help with food, clothes, nappies and my mom is like a cab for her, she will call at 11 pm and sometimes midnight to see if my mom can drive her somewhere the next day and if told that my mom has a full day she pouts and won’t bring the babies over.
The other part of me says that the babies should not suffer and do without, it’s not their fault that they were born to someone who is totally unprepared to be a mother, the thought of them lacking basic things like clean clothes, food, medical care is more than I can deal with. What if we cut her off and she leaves the kids with someone else and something happens to them? What if Nathan goes to bed hungry? It’s thoughts like these that won’t leave my head!
Also, she refuses to go to school, when social services got involved after Nathan’s burn incident she was told that she had to go back to school if she wanted to get him back and she went for a whole one week and then three times a week and then it was down to once a week until finally she just refused to go. She sleeps all day and I can’t tell you how often we get the babies and the first thing we do is give them a bath because they are dirty and their clothes is filthy.
I started the process of becoming a foster parent, I’ve taken finger prints, had a home inspection and they did the background checks on everyone that lives in the home, if something happens maybe they will allow us to have the babies, and sadly it think something will from what I’ve heard her boyfriend has been beating on her because she got pregnant again (he thinks it’s not his).
It’s funny, I’ve never been what anyone would call maternal, I’ve never been a big baby person but with these two you just get an overwhelming feeling of love and you want to do whatever you can to make sure that they are well taken care of but I’m also afraid that the more help she gets the less she will do for herself.

Purps,
I thought it was a crime but not according to CPS, you actually have to prove they are having sex and in order for it to be child abuse you have to prove that her mother is aware of her having sex and allowing it to happen, I guess three babies are not proof enough.

Oh it took a while but my mother finally figured out that giving her cash is a bad idea, if the babies need something we go out and buy it and drop it off.
