  SHUNNING: How did you feel after your 1st?

  the practice of shunning really is, unreservedly, my main problem with the religion.

  i have come to this conclusion after many months out of the org.

  there are, of course many, many other things that just pi$$ me off about the religion but this just gets to me, each and every day i live.. and yet, i have never experienced shunning in the manner in which is well documented here.

  I was working as a cashier at a grocery store, had a huge line of people. The (apparently blind) witness had her heaped cart half unloaded on the belt before she looked up and made eye contact with me. I smiled, she did not. :D You never saw gorceries get flung around so quickly as she threw everything back into her cart and fled the area!

  How many years since you left the wts?

  we had a thread yesterday about how many years we spent in the wts, so let's total up how many years it is since we lef or, if you are fading, since you last attended a meeting.. it's just over a year since i last went, and almost 7 since my bf last went, so our total is 8 years.. feel free to add your years out.

  Running my first 5K - Want to come and cheer me on? :D

  on saturday, september 9th, 2006 i will be running my first 5k (3 miles) race in the freedom run (www.freedomrun.com).

  we start running at 8:30 am.

  there will also be a 1 mile walk for anyone who wants to support the cause but is not up to running three miles.

  i got a job today that i have waited for two years for.

  this girl i work with has sang at shows having erika badu on the lineup and she just got signed with a record contract.

  her name is rene washington.

  this was such a sad exhange and just shows how unnatural this bogus rule by the wbts is.. i see my moms name on the caller id and i immediately pick up.

  (keep in mind we live 2 blocks apart).

  my mom says julia?, and i say no mom its me, you must have dialed the wrong number.. mom: oh, i'm sorry, how are you?

  i was born into a jw family in 1981. i spent my child hood not only going to every meeting but also in a home schooling program ran by some of the congregation folks with children.

  extremely cut off from the world to say the least.

  I was yanked out of junior high and placed in home school (boys lol), I had to throw a major hissy fit and threaten to go enroll myself to be able to finish my grade 12 at an actual school, with you know teachers and actual learning tools.
