Why does Grissom not show any information other than his name......Is he afraid the congo will find out he is posting on an apostate board....wait a minute...will they find out he is on the internet? Shame on you Grissom..at least let us know where you're from and a little background. If things get to tough or because of your visits to thsi site the "demons" invade your home....just say "Jehovah Save Me" three times while clicking your heels!

Why Doesn't The Org Feed It's Delegates Anymore?
by Englishman ini hear that food is no longer available at assemblies.. is that right?.
not even a cup of tea?.
this can't be right!

Gee, I'm glad I don't go any more......I'd really miss the 8 day DC's in New York City...working in the food prep tents and watching the brothers (CO's etc.) having their beer parties out of the trunks of their cars. It used to be that the US Military would come and watch how the JW's fed thousands in a couple hours and cleaned up afterwards all for .65 per meal and all labor volunteered!

If you were bullied at school for being a JW kid..
by mtbatoon in..would you thank the bullies now?.
i must admit that the social pressure was a large factor in my exiting.
though it was hell at the time i'd rather that than life as as dub now.

I look at all your ages and chuckle! I'm sure you were all bullied in one way or another....however when I was growing up in the truth (late 50's early 60's) we didn't get bullied, they just beat us up....unfortunately, a lot of the anit-hate, anti-discrimination laws in affect in the US today were earned on the backs of the Blacks and the JW's.
If I went into detail on the abuse my brother and I took (because JW's don't fight back) we'd be here all day. Do I thank them, No way! All I can remember of my youth as a JW was worry as to whether or not I'd be able to stand in a hot field all day and not succumb to saying the pledge of allegience (after all the JW's in Africa were going through that every day according to the examples in the WT and Awake and at assemblies).
Wait, maybe I do thank them, because as soon as I got out on my own....I faded....!

I'm going to JW Hell, I'm going to die.....
by riotgirlpeeps ini thought this would be kind of fun to do is list some of the offenses that i have committed according to witness beliefs.
i thought it might be mildly amusing considering the lack of emphasis that any of these things are wrong according to the majority of the population.
i'll limit myself to ten.

At my age I've probably done most of what has been previously listed with the exception of the Protitute thing of DannyB's and was married when I had my kids1 But other than that, I've dabbled in a little bit of everything....I think the worst" SIN" I've committed that will send me to hell is....not only did I cover for a friend of mine (male) who was a baptised JW..but I blew the lid off when his family tried to say the died of complications of Diabetes...I made him a quilt and sent it to Washington, DC and then sent them a picture of it...he died of AIDS (one of the first in this country) and his *#s hole family members tried to cover it up so he could have a "WItness Funeral".
No wait, maybe that wasn't the worst....maybe it's that I, as a middle aged heterosexual female can accept fully my 17 year old daughter's declaration that she is "Gay" and still love her and let her share my home!
It looks like if I'm gonna burn in JW Hell, I'm gonna have some really good company! I'll bring the ice water!

Trying to get people to "support" pioneers!
by LongHairGal inthis was one topic that used to make me furious!
here the bible makes it perfectly clear that back then they supported their own ministry by working.
there is also the scripture about "counting the cost" implying that one should not undertake any project without making an assessment as to whether or not they could do it.

My brother was a "Bethelite", the only witness that supported him was me! Sometimes my Mother sent him $$$, but I was married at the time and my ex and I had a gasoline service station....where by the way all of the witnesses knew to come to get their cars fixed because even to he wasn't a witness, my ex would fix their cars and let them pay later....and run a tab for their gas. I digress....we sent my brother $$$$ because if we didn't he wouldn't have been able to survive. He traveled 3 hours (round trip) to each and every meeting and for field service and worked long days in the factory...they did away with side jobs (working for a few $$$$ for extras) and one brother was mugged on the way home from a meeting....his arm was severely broken and the brother's biggest worry was they were going to send him back to his parents farm and let them take care of him.....they did!
When I pioneered, I supported myself....and helped the other pioneers out financially.....my late father always supported my mother. Come to think of it he still does....she still collects 2/3 of his sizable pension and SS on his contributions.......talk about working the system!

It seems to me that there was never a group of people any more embroiled in politics than "Jehovah's chosen people"....the Jews, oops! I mean the Isrealites.......they were always telling the leaders of their world what to do or marching around their cities and knocking down walls. David was a King and .... need I go on? Religion and Politics don't mix....but for some reason they can't be seperated.
