i'm going to try to make a long story short.... i moved away from my home city for grad school 2 years ago and left a couple boxes at my mom's for safe keeping.
my mom ended up moving to a new place during the 2 years i was in school.
i noticed on visits that there was only one box i recognized stored out in her new garage and asked her about it...she got defensive and said she took all that was boxed.
I have a bunch of my son's stuff in my garage and have moved it twice. I would feel terrible if something happened to it, as I'm sure your mom feels about your boxes. The sorrow of the lost items will pass and you'll always have the great memories! It's normal to miss people you were close to, I still miss my grandfather and he's been gone 36 years, some days I still want to pick up the phone and share something with him, I no longer have anything of his, with the exception of really great memories and life lessons he taught me! Which are the greatest thing he ever gave me!
.
please use this thread only to post good memories.. i remember going to the beautiful white sand beaches of the gulf coast and playing in the sand with dad and chasing mom with dead jellyfish.
the water was crystal clear.
Camping for the summer at a campground about 15 miles from our home. Our campsite was set up like a canvas house with kitchen, living/dining area and sleeping area. Dad went to work from there and my 2 brothers and I spent the whole summer playing in the river, swimming in the pool and hanging with our friends! It was wonderful.
guess what you guys....... i come home from a staff meeting and sitting in my mailbox is a little care package from my friend jgnat!!.
in it was a delicious chocolate and marshmallow confection, along with a lovely heartfelt note.. i was touched, and jgnat can really cook.... and i must imagine how good it tastes fresh out of the oven, before being shipped a few thousand miles.. so thank you jgnat.
according to hillary step, next time you should send me salad...
Thank you for the recipe jgnat, it sounds yummy! I'm going to try it this weekend for Sunday dessert!

yeah its morbid... but since we're not gonna live forever like we thought we might the first half or so of our lives, we're obviously gonna die someday.. and i dont want " keep your eyes on the prize " played at my funeral.. (keeping in mind that theres no one thats gonna claim my body to bury it anyway when the time comes).
i want " if you could read my mind" by gordon lightfoot.
" carry on my wayward son" by (kansas?
"I've Had The Time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes
"Wonderful World" by Ray Charles
"Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler"
"I hope You Dance" (cannot remember the artist' name)
"Amazing Grace"
No services, just a short visitation with these songs played in the background and then cremation. I want my children, family and friends to go home and have a celebration, drink a few and tell funny stories!
yep that's right if you are a white boy you are most probably a serial killer, because richard ramirez and wayne williams were only flukes.
never you mind anyone on the planet could be a potential serial killer, all we know at this point is most of the ones we have caught are whiteys...see?
i told you so!.
Valis, would persons of a certain ethnic persuasion from say North Jersey, South Phillie or New York that were in the habit of killing a lot of people, say members of other peoples families, be considered Serial Killers? If so then I think we could argue that actually all Italian Boys are serial killers.....and god knows they're straight (if not they've already been taken to be fitted for cement boots) so it couldn't be blamed on homosexuals!
Personally as a straight, white, middle-aged female the only cereal killing I do is raisen bran, frosted mini-wheats and captain crunch.....but I understand someone got to him before I did!

by all outward appearances, some of the more patriotic, god-fearing americans in town live at the foot of southeast harney street, on the right side of the (railroad) tracks and the "no trespassing" signs.
Actually Kazar it's not....it's a "Deed Restricted" property and if you don't want to following the association documents...you just don't move there. We've got a place a few miles from my home that is called the River Colony Club. It is all retired military....they have a number of Deed Restrictions that you are advised about prior to even signing you contract to purchase. If you don't like them.....move down the street. There are plenty of other places to move.

i can drink about 8 or 9 before a get a little drunk.
but i wouldn't drive after 4 or 5, not that i,d be drunk, but not to get in trouble.. does it show that i'm in my 4th beer.....
One beer puts me to sleep, however I can drink 7 or 8 Long Island Iced Teas or Margaritas and 6 to 8 shots of Jack Daniels on the rocks or tequilla shots with lime and salt without to much of an affect. Right now my poisen of choice is a good chilled Reisling or Spatlese....I can usually finish a bottle or two by myself in the course of an evening. However, under no circumstances do I drive...even after one drink, as the legal limit here in Florida (as in other States) is .08, and a DUI would cost me all of my certifications and my job!

When considering buying in a Deed Restricted, PUD or Condominium/Townhouse development.....you are presented with the Association Documents prior to signing a contract. It's like anything else, club, religion, fraternal order, etc., if you don't like the rules....don't join, move there or try to change everyone under the guise of "freedom". Most likely the wheelchair/skooter would not have been a problem had the religious card (flag and lights) not been played (personally I think it in very poor taste that they would even consider subjecting the mother to that type of living with her medical problems, particularly as she probably didn't live on the water of a boat prior to her illness). But then that's the JW's.....it's always the other sides fault and they should change because the JW's have rights!
When buying my home, I made sure not to be in a Deed Restricted area. We have communities near us that limit how long your trash cans can be in front of your home after they are emptied, the color they can be and where they are to be stored. No clothes lines on the property, the color you can paint your home, number of shrubs and trees and types to be planted, minimum square footage of home, all vehicles in garage not in driveway, etc.
If you don't want to live with the rules, don't join the party!
i just worked with a bunch of chicken-cooking retards for 8 hours.. then i come home and get no love from my jwd compadres?.
