I've posted before about seeing a JW and I am Catholic. Right now we are having the "unevenly yolk" conseveration. Can anyone tell me what percentage of JW's are married to non JW? Or a good guess. #1 I am not an egg. #2 I'm not plowing any fields that I would need a yolk. #3 How can we be uneven if if we both believe in the same God. My heart is being broken because of this.

Door to Door
by I-follow-the-narrow-path injust wondering... what do you think about the jw going door to door?
do you like it or dislike it?
my view is ( weather something is false or not) i think it is great someone shares what they love with someone else.

We have a few different churches that go door to door. I would say no dont do it, unlessyou want the door slamed in your face. I remember one holiday that they came "a knockin" looking for my father. My neice who was I think 10 at the time came and got me before I went into the shower. (she couldnt find grandpa). I went to the door in a towel and told them that we were spending the holiday with the family and please do not bother us. The look on thier faces ( 4 people came to the door) was priceless. Needless to say they have never returned.

Unbelievable.......Just makes you want to .. I sorry If I needed a trasnfusion I would take it. I have this thing about having other people blood in me, but when I go into the hospital for any major surgery I would have given blood that would be there for me. I cant donate. There are other means I thought for blood transfusions, synthetic something? I know that I talked to JW about this once. Am I wrong?

that use to be my favorite time of year, right now i can't wait to celebrate it again unless i change my mind...lol...but right now it's on!!

I know of a exJW that just love the holiday and has put up a tree each year. Her JW daughters and sons will not come to her home while she has it up. She doesnt care though, and she likes the gift getting part too......she complains about how much money she spends though. I just keep telling her that she has to make up for all the years that she missed it. LOL (she's old)

Anyone live in/near Bayfield, WI 54814 ??
by talley inwe will be in bayfield, wi, sept.10, and need to hire someone to doggie sit our auggie (black lab f. 9yrs) from 9:00am to 2:00pm, while we go on an apostle islands cruise.
this would be at our motel room or your house, which ever you would prefer.
help us enjoy this "worldly pleasure".

I think that there may be a doggie day care up in that area. Are you staying in a hotel? They may know where one is. It is one beautiful trip and you will enjoy it. THe trees might be turning or at least starting to. I would help you out be I about 6 hours away.

DID YOU EVER 'EMBELLISH' YOUR FIELD SERVICE REPORT???
by chuckyy injust wondering if anyone ever did put down more hours/placements etc on their report than they actually did.. i know that i did.
the reason was that i was pioneering and working full time.
it just got too much and i ended up adding hours.

The place that I work for her REAL brother is a JW and he will stop by work and drop off the WT and chat for awhile and it is a 1 hour stop for him. Another person I know will make a phone call first before they start out. Of course that is the first stop they make and it is usually out in the boonies and they would start there time from the first knock and all driving time. You are not the only one that has done that.

I say no way, if they cant play the song YMCA for the Village People at their weddings how can they rent out the building. I was at a Wedding where the JW bride had to approve every sone and we wanted them to play YMCA and they wouldnt. But they were playing all sort of bump and grind songs. WHat a hoot.

Thanks for the Believer comment. I do use that all the time when we talk about it. I think I should tell everyone that we only keep the relationship from other JWs. All his non JW friends and of course mine all know about the relationship. His kids also know and like me. (I bake treats that they usually wouldnt have.) I truly do think that we have been working on this realationship already for 3 years and it seems to be working.
He is a weak JW and his Father is the "Grand Pooba" in his congregation so his dad rules the family. That is probably the only reason that we are secretly dating. There are also 3 other family members that are not JWs, one of them the parents have not spoken to them in years. So I'm also working with a dysfunctional family too.
I must love him alot to deal with that too.

I guess we have both be really honest about this relationship. I went into it knowing that we would have some ups and downs. I truly believe that this relationship will work out in the long run, but getting to the next step will be a long one. His family knows of me because of my work relationships, but the ones that will have a really hard time with it do not. He does have some family members that are not witness so that helps.

I am new to this site and stumbled upon it while trying to research a few items about JW. I am dating a male JW. According to him we are not dating, because if we were he would get disfellowshiped. He has been DF once before and doesnt want it to happen again.
My family and friends all know that we are "dating", but his family does not know. Which I am ok with that until he is ready to date openly. He doesnt want to offically start until his kids are out of high school. Which will be in 2 years. We have ex JW that do know us both and have helped with the relationship.
One thing that we keep dabating is the that we are unevenly "yoked" according to his bible. In my bible (I'm Catholic) we are because we both believe the God, "Jehovah". The JW bible states that we are unevenly yoke because we are of different faiths. Can any one help me debate this one. And the other thing we are dabating is that once we do offically start dating we will need a chaprone. I want to know if any one can find me anything in the bible where it states that when you are dating you have to be chaproned. We are in our 40 and we should know we want to do with our lives.
Please help me, as I want this relationship to work out. I respect his faith and he respect mine. I have no problems with him being a JW if that is what he wants. We both know that we will not change reglions for each other since both families would hate us for it, and neither one wants to lose our familes over religion.
