some years ago, the religious movements research center of malta, wrote to brooklyn about the words "free choice" that appeared in the official document between bulgaria vs wts (european court).

what make the answer special is that it is signed by a name instead of the usual watchtower rubber stamp.

the original documents can also be consulted and therefore one can see who is the liar and hypocrite!

i (new watchtower publication), makes a strange comment regarding isaiah 4:2:.

"in that day what jehovah makes sprout will come to be for decoration and for glory, and the fruitage of the land will be something to be proud of and something beautiful for those of israel who have escaped.".

First century disciples vs the Society

i'm having a discussion with my wife about the society's changes in doctrines and failed predictions.

she basically is using the argument that the society is fallible just like the the first century disciples.

so this neatly excuses the society for any erroneous teachings or failed prophecies.. how would you counter-argue that type of reasoning?

Well, this is a typical argument, and a JW's women in the street had provided to me this argument.

My answer was not a christian answer and i think this why some here have problem with it, because they are still christian.

For me my answer was: "You have proved to me that christianism is apostasy, and we must not believe in this religion because during 2000 years, christian have made a lot of false prediction.Thanks a lot"

She had nothing to answer to this argument.

just come across summat on a scientology investigation page and it mentioned the firephim that was signed in 1992 in strasborg .

Watchtower is not a member of the Cesnur, they collaborated with Cesnur not directly, but via a Jw french's attorney Alain Garay.

There is no proofs that Watchtower was a member of firephim, they could have some contact by another Jw french's attorney Christian Paturel.

This is man who is talking about in the link that nelly has provided, without the list of the member we can't say that JW were member of this association, only they have collaborated with it.

Firephim has ended his activity since 4 ou 5 years. now the jehovah's witnesses in France have some relation with the Cesnur of Massimo Introvigne but they are not part of this association devote to "study the new religion"
