I think there is someone in the writing committee who knows what is up and wants to get as many as they can out before they are discovered. I have no proof, but that statement just smacks of someone saying it will be ok if you leave.

The June 15th-2010 WT indirectly admits that most Ex-JW's are happy!

at first glance, it appears to be a standard wt article extolling the safety and happiness of jw's in the kh.. "many who today are members of the christian congregation can tell you that before learning of and adopting jehovah's righteous standards, they lived without moral restrain.
yet, they were unsatisfied and unhappy.

Notes: Friday District Convention - Follow the Anointed Who Follow Christ
by truthseeker intoday was the first day of three for this year's "follow the christ" district convention.. for the first time in as many years as i can go back, the theme of this program was jesus christ.. most of the program was ok. the talks considered jesus, his life and his works.
there was nothing about the talks that i considered insulting or controlling.. could this be it?
could the society really be going jesus-centric?.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt that last talk was out of place. I even put in my notes that it contradicted all that was siad earlier in the day. My (JW) mom even agreed with me when I told her I didn't "get" the last talk, so maybe something somewhere is getting through to her. (and therefore other rank and files?)

Did You EVER Enjoy Going To Meetings Or Out In Service?
by minimus ini can say that i don't thinki ever really looked forward to going to a 2 hour meeting or a 2 hour ride around in the "ministry.

Call me weird, but meetings were good. I liked the ministry school/service meeting most. Service I hated. I auxiriry poineered one month and as soon as I got my 60 hours I was the sickest I had been and for 15 years after. I also liked the conventions and assemblies too. I did't have friends so you can't say it was the social aspects. I am weird and liked the LEARNING of it.
