  the last few weeks of meetings for me were pure hell.

  i got a cold sweat sometimes and just sat there fantasizing about running forest gump style out of the kingdom hall.

  i was getting "encouraged" to comment more too and i just physically could not audibly promote that crap in public anymore.

  who escapes more often, those born into it or adult converts?

  what strikes me on this board is the number of adult converts that have left the borg, either fading out or getting df'd.

  from my experience (i was born into it, 2nd generation, left before getting baptized) most of the faders or escapees were also like.

  me, born into it, never really accepted it and just bowed out at the first opportunity.

  Well as for me and my family (I was baptized in 97, my husband in 98, and our two kids in 99) Our son disassociated himself 3 years ago, and myself,husband and daughter disassociated ourselves last month!

  Is there another motive behind the production of Knocking?

  just a thought ... as i recall, in the early 90's the documentary "purple triangle" was made.

  this was made independant of the wts and once it was shown to them, because it was very pro-jw, they purchased the rights to the video and started distributing it among jw's.. is it possible, that joel engardio knew of this prior to his producing "knocking" and his attempt is to sell the video rights to the wts?

  any thoughts?.

  Have you or your wife ever read "Crisis of Conscience" or "In Search of Christian Freedom"? Both are writen by 'Raymond Franz' a former member of the Governing Body. This site and those two books will help you alot!

  And I agree with KLS, you have to be true/honest to yourself.

  I need advice, please help.

  i went to meeting last night (don't ask) and someone asked me to go out in service.

  i was taken by surprise and actually agreed to do street work on saturday.

  the sister that i'm supposed to work with has always been very kind to me and i know that there is no one else in our hall that will go out with her on saturday morning.
