  friend of mine with dilemma

  a good friend of mine has a coworker who is a witness.

  they have a good working relationship and are somewhat of friends, at least in that arena.

  today at work this woman told my friend that she had something important to discuss, that could not be talked about at work.

  Are they still around? Blimey! I knew a biker once who had a JW knock at his door. He got out his bikers magazine and bored them to tears with it. They were trying to back out of the house to escape! lol

  Pigeons on my roof!

  i've got pigeons nesting/roosting on my roof, blocking my gutters and messing all over my car.

  any ideas how to get rid?

  The pigeons have got chicks but, good news...I've found somewhere that does the spikes at a very reasonable price. My neighbours are going to split the cost with me so we can protect both roofs. Obviously, we won't do it until the young have left the nest because I don't believe in disturbing nesting birds and dooming the chicks.

  By the way Mike, you should know me better than to think I'll share my booze with another bird!!!

  i've got pigeons nesting/roosting on my roof, blocking my gutters and messing all over my car.

  Bats I wouldn't mind, I love bats. The worst thing is when I'm trying to watch a programme and the pigeons sit on the satelite dish causing it to loose the signal, right at a crucial moment. I've now taken to going out and shooting them with a water pistol but half an hour later, and they're back.

  I suppose I could throw one of my cats up on the roof! They do have a hungry look about them when they watch the pigeons out the windows. As for a gun, not sure that's a good idea with all the armed police about at the moment!

  More fluff, how many remotes does it take to watch TV?

  i have 3 here, counting the one for the xbox dvd.

  one for the cable box, and another for the tv because it's a dish network flatscreen and they don't share all the codes with the time warner remote.. i know...makes no sense.. .

  Well, it's nice to meet you. I'll be here for a bit yet. I'm working but it's been a slow night so far.

  Things are still a bit mad in London and here in the Midlands too, so it's nice to know people in the US of A are supporting us. I can't believe I'm seeing armed police on TV only a few miles away from here, swooping on respectable housing estates arresting suspected suicide bombers. Mental.

  It doesn't matter how many remotes we have, the dog still eats them!

  Last count was 4: TV, DVD Player, Video and a multi-remote for emergencies (when you can't find any of the others).
