  It's time for me to say Goodbye

  i have been on this board for 7 or 8 years, i have learned a great deal from all of you, but it is time for me to move on and put my life in a different direction.

  so i say so long, who knows maybe sometime in the future i will pop in and say hi.

  thanks to all of you who have done a great deal for me, i have learned a lot about cult religions and a lot about myself.

  I loved the movie..A Beautiful Mind....it wss three hours long but the time flew by and the end was amazing. Another I really liked was Life is Beautiful... Very sad movie...I cried my eyes out.

  Times and Unforeseen Occurances

  i can barely remember the anguish i used to go through as a witness trying to figure out if i had jehovahs spirit with me, or if jehovah was allowing satan to test me or if things happened because of times and unforeseen occurances.. confusion.....anxiety i would pray, pray pray to jah for guidance.

  anytime something good happened it was always jehovah watching out over me.. now, i was not born a witness...i became a witness, then i was df, reinstated, and now apostate.

  and things have happened in my life pretty much the same in all circumstances.

  After watching the video from Iwonder17 I would like to say to him/her.....If your child suddenly became very ill and was dying in your arms I would bet you would might not be down on your knees to a milk jug but you would be down on your knees to a higher power ...

  Let's Hear it For Simon -Thanks For This Board - And All it Accomplishes

  i think it's only appropriate to put out a thread to thank simon for the great job he does in moderating this board, watching over discussions to make sure that the purpose of jwd discussion stays focused .

  i believe that he and the mods do a great job in helping this board along in it's journey - and enables us to have the freedom of speech- without having fear of reprisal - as long as the guidelines are met.

  so, i for one would like to personally thank you simon - for bringing this board into existence, as it has helped many to be able to vent after leaving the jehovah's witnesses cult, and get support, and for others it has helped them have a great place to discuss many important topics that have a heavy play in many of our lives !

I came here three years ago...frightened, guilty, lost, ...started with baby steps...I have had so much support and comfort and even though I dont post or get too involved with topics I am here every day. So I will raise my glass and toast you Simon for giving us this wonderful site..for keeping some of us alive....

  Did/Does God answer your prayers?

  in my spiritual journey, which includes trying to decide if i still believe in god anymore or not i am beginning to question if god listened to my prayers or even answered them.

  i think i had a track record of praying more when i needed something.

  terrible i know.

  Yes, God has answered my prayers. He brought me out of the Watchtower when I prayed for direction. He wrapped me with love when I was beyond repair mentally. I think it is having faith that He will answer my prayers and accepting the times He doesn't that keeps me sane. I am grateful for this blessing.

  7th Anniversary on JWD

  i just realized that 5-28 was my 7th anniversary on jwd.

  my participation has changed over time and most of what i do is the review each week.

  people have come and gone, lots of new names, and some old-timers like me.

  Congratulations on your 7th Anniversary, Blondie. Sorry we didnt get to meet on that planned trip...Maybe someday? I appreciate all you posts as well. You have a lot of knowledge and what you don't know you see to be able to find out.. You have helped a lot of us with your insight...so thank you very much and I hope you are around for a lot more years....x0

  Sitting her forgetting it all.

  trying to remember what it is i have been supposed to be doing since monday.

  don't have a clue.. my daughter ran away and all her stupid ass friends are not giving her up.

  the police are looking and nothing.

  Thinking of you.... I have also been there...done that... she is now 22..almost 23 and is starting to grow a brain.. It was very difficult. Put us through hell... They do not listen at that age.... we have nothing that will change them or put them on the right path.. dont give up on her...she will see what crap is out there and probably go through some of it herself.. but I know she will be back.... Just hang in there girl.. don't you dare guilt yourself about it.. my daughter had it made.. living her..but keep going off the deep end..making our lives miserable for two years........finally she is back to "normal" whatever that means... but she is a responsible human being, getting an education,, working a good summer job.. paying her own way.. so just be good to yourself..cause stress will kill ya... I could write a book but I just want to say things will be ok......give the other little one lots of attention and affection while you are waiting for the other one to grow up!! x0x0

  a friend of a friend has been in a horrific car-crash.

  he has an extremely slim chance of survival as his body has stopped reproducing blood.

  if he does survive, he is expected to be a "vegitable".
