The e-watchman site is where I started this journey. I figured since he was still a Witness that it was not an apostate site and I read there quite a bit. This was before he was disfellowshipped. Then one day someone left the link to this board and I did the deed.............. I came here and read and read and read. Finally, one day I decided to take the first baby step and post and from that day I have never looked back and I have never been happier. I rarely go to e-watchman's site now. I am here every day though. You guys are my backup for now.

this site is also made up of many ex and current jw's, the difference is they all remain deeply committed to christianity and bible study, but are extremely distrustful of the watch tower orginanization and consider it to be a "pharisee" or a "false prophet" what the bible warns of.
from what i am reading they seem to be the beginning movements of a break away sect, many of them praise russell who seems to have been more spiritual and laid back and trace the demise of the movement with rutherford, who began introducing all the messed up rules they have now.

Little things that mean alot
by beautifulisfree inokay i hate to sound mean but witnesses in my opinion are mean and rude (that once included me) without even realizing it, maybe.
because the little things that non-witnesses do in everyday life for others and their family mean alot to ones they love or complete strangers.. what are some little things you can do know that show someone you care..that you weren't allowed to do before?.
1. saying "bless you" after someone sneezes

Brigid: I have a good history of matchmaking. I introduced my husband's two sisters to their husbands and they are all still married years later. I would love to introduce my 37 year old son to you. He and his wife split up four years ago and he thinks he will just remain single after being burnt. His birthday is May 17th as I know you are interested in stuff like that. Sometimes I can see two people here on the boards that I think would make a good pair. We are a unique bunch here and we understand each other like no other group. We have all been there, done that, got the tee shirt, lost it............looking for a new one!

pix - in my cancer mask
by confusedjw inthis mask keeps me from moving as they give radiation to me.
this machine is the spherical cat scan that they use to plan treatment.
i get to keep the mask when it's all done!

I sincerely hope your treatment goes well and you are cured. A family member had sinus cancer last fall and went through the same radiation treatment with the mask. He just had his final treatment and is completely cured. He got along fine. I was with him for a few of the treatments and I admired his courage for being in that mask thing. He got to take it home with him too. Wishing you all the best. Arwen

They are beautiful, Mouthy, and your daughter was too. The sadness never really ever goes away but we thank God for the good years that we did have with our loved ones. I miss my Mom every day for the past thirteen years. Much love to you all.....Arwen

his poor handicapped wife, who was extremely nice, was ruled by him with an iron hand.

Here is one for you...An elder and his stepson in the same cong. The stepson is married and gets DF. the father-in-law goes to comfort the stepson's wife and ends up having an affair with her. They eventually get married, the stepson gets another wife, the elder's first wife dies. That man is an elder today...Amazing..
