  Alex is the person she was asking if Sayed was. (???) did that make sense? I am saying that it couldn't be a girl since she thought sayed was Alex.

  This past sunday's wt had a hilarious paragraph...

  i think it was paragraph 18 or right around there.. the gist of ithe paragraph was, "some will lose faith because our predictions failed, some of our stuff doesn't make sense, or someone treats us like crap".. the answers were just a riot.

  i couldn't help but wonder if some weren't faders.. "i remember when i started in the truth, i thought, this stuff is crazy, but i just knew it was the truth because where else could i go".

  "where else can we go" (i would like to point out that this is hardly a ringing endorsement).

  Sorry.. i came to this thread and read up to page 2 and wanted to say that when I was going to the Hall and I saw someone w/out a book and I happen to have an extra I am sad to say that when I lent one them.. I felt religious superiority over them and in a way hoped the eyes of others saw what a nice person I was. I always felt above others that weren't in "the truth". I now know how wrong and how --Not Humble-- I really was.

  this is what my dad told me .

  i mentioned how i didn't want to attend a congregation where people were claiming to do good works in the name of god and knowing that they were doing opposite.

  he says " well, when the last days come.. when ever that is... jehovah saves groups not individuals" well what we're in the wrong group dad?

  Thank you all for your replies. The thing that bothers me is.. dad still sees me as one of the JWs that just doesn't go to meetings anymore. So is he saying that even if you are a JW if you aren't IN the group or seen as IN the group you aren't going to be saved? Maybe he is getting this idea from the flood or S and G. Where the groups seen as bad were destroyed with out him looking at each persons heart condition that was about to be destroyed.

  I don't know.. i am grabbing at straws.

Then we got off the phone.

  That is scary!! Where do you think he came up w/ that conclusion??

  Had my mother been there when the farts were expelled we would have read her saying " that was nothing to laugh about .. its natural. Next time run to the bathroom if you have to do such a thing. That is gross!"

  i posted on another thread a bit ago and it reminded me of how kind and warm and supportive so many jwd womenz have been.

  sometimes we don't sieze the opportunities we have to let others know how much we appreciate their caring and support.. i lurv you womenz!!!

  Today is yucky and I hope it clears up for tomorrow. I am going to my MIL house - its a farm and when it rains..yuck. Mud everywhere! But the kids like seeing the horse and the Mule and the chickens and the geese. Then Sat.. well no plans. There is football.

  Oh and Daystar!!!! Its nice to find out through the board that you are thinking of coming over to my house Sunday. Lol. Yes.. you can come over. We would really enjoy it!!! You bringing beer? We have some but dont know how much.

  Possibly one of the messages that the people wrote and gave to Charlie to put in the bottle. Maybe it never made it out to sea?

  -There are so many old questions I hope they actually answer all of them.

  They are giving my kids notebooks for the special assembly. Why?

  now if they were only giving them to my children, i would raise cain, because it is an obvious attempt to imply that they have to provide what i am not.

  it is also an influence ploy, in that by giving them a gift, it obligates them to use the gift.. but they gave them to all the kids and everyone at the book study.

  the sweet part was that i actually showed up.
