This story just made me so mad!
by Sad emo ini heard it on the radio last night.
i was going to post it on the other 'should marijuana/cannabis be legalised' thread - but since this case involved alcohol as well, you can't be sure which 'drug' if either was a contributor to this sicko's actions.. i'm not going to post the full story here as some may find the details distressing.
it basically involved a guy who had been smoking weed and drinking who denied a dying woman any dignity in her final hours.

I agree with Sixofnine as well. I knew a guy that was also inhuman enough to do that to a person and drugs or alcohol were not the facter. The facter was a stupid idiot that thinks nothing of others.

Exactly! Its stuff like that that has kept me and my hubby away. Its sickening. But when/ if I call the elder back.. how much to I go into detail with him. We both know that the convo will get back to his mom who he hasn't been honest with how he feels about ""the truth". He will have to stand up for how he believes finally to his family.

Background info- I quit going a few years ago just because I don't agree with alot of how the cong handles stuff. Long story (look at my past posts) and my husband was df'd for kissing me back when we were 18 and he tried going back but just couldn't handle the hypocrisy. It wasn't that we didn't believe in the basics of love thy neighbor stuff but things that didn't make logical since but didn't defy Jehovah.
My brother thinks we should call back and tell the elder " We haven't left Jehovah. We feel that Jehovah left the fake, corrupt and false religion taught in the cong. and we left WITH him/her. And we would appreciate it if you didn't call us back again."

Can you give me some suggestions of what to say when I call him back. Even if I should call him back. I am irritated anyway cause a family member would have had to give the elder the cell phone number.

I make his coffee just the way he likes it and put it on his nightstand to wake up to it.
Occasionally he will do the odd chore around the house with out me asking him to do it first.
He quit smoking.. not just for me alone... but it makes our kisses so much more exciting!!!
He tells me I am beautiful without makeup on.

I mentioned to my dad about this subject and his response was similar to others. He says that its in the DNA. Its sin on a genetic level and passed on generation to generation. He adds that even doctors know that our bodies are built to live forever and are still baffled to why we grow old. The comment about sin being brought by man and therefore we all have sinned..from romans i think... Just doesn't make sense to me. The ablitity to sin i can see..but not in us genetically. Where in the bible does it say that Jehovah manipulated our genes to have the sin gene in us now?

To Catch a Predator
by pratt1 ini am sure that everyone has heard of the dateline eposides of "to catch a predator".. it's pretty disturbing to see so many men who appear to be normal, are caught trying to solicit a sexual relationship with a minor.. i have 2 questions for you posters.. 1. do you consider the tactics of the dateline show entrapment?.
2. since several caught are from cultures that allow and often encourage adult men to marry much younger teenaged girls, should these men be charged with lesser charges?.
3. in you go back 50 years in you own family's history, where there marriage unions between an adult male and a teen aged girl?.

Another reason it is not entrapment is because they don't go online and search the bad men out. The perverted men search them out and initiate the nasty conversation on their own.
