i just last year was able to get a small table top tree for christmas.

The kids talking!! Thats another big thing. I talked with hubby last night and he was saying he doesn't want to add things in the house that will make it worse. I said..well..Daystar and his son are coming over..what should we tell our parents..they are coming over for our..anniversary (on the 20th) and then his son has a load of new stuff? And he may say something about the Tree..little or big. Hubby says"he didn't say anything last year"..well no he didn't but this is another year. Plus, our mom is manipulative if she sees alot of new presents in her house on Dec 26 she can easily ask the young boy details of his visit in a way to make him talk without thinking he is saying anything wrong. My girls know my parents and my husbands don't do holidays and that we try to respect thier beliefs by not mentioning what we do for the holidays to them. My oldest Daughter on her own has found interesting ways to dodge the questions or answer in vague ways..and I have also caught her just out-n-out lying. It saddened me.
I like the idea of " Please don't come over uninvited" -However, The lights on the house will be a give away. lol

I guess what i am just fearing are the ...phone calls . The daily regular phone calls I usually make to my dad. I have a feeling ..once they find out the truth that the phone calls will either cease or be forever awkward.
But..just like cold water- its best to just jump in -the sooner you can adjust and get used to the temp.
The one suggestion that mentioned complete denial reminded me of a funny story ( not sure if its true) A husband got caught by his wife with another woman. The wife said.."Who is this woman?" Husband says " What woman?" (the mistress standing right next to him...starts picking up her clothes) The wife dumbfounded walks away to cool off..by the time she comes back to the room to continue the discussion the room is cleaned up , bed made and the other woman is gone. The wife asks " where did she go?" Husband says" where did who go? Hey, whats for dinner? I'm starved." He walks off toward the kitchen. The wife stands there..thinking..'Have I gone mad?'
Anyway....
My big plans for xmas are hopefully a big tree.. with popcorn garland and lots of tinsle. Me and Daystar are trying to come up with our own traditions since this will be our 2nd xmas as a family. We are thinking of picking a movie or two that we will watch every year. I am more into the carols.. the non religious ones ( i always imagined the family around the piano singing. uh...yea right..as if they would )

He is Df'd. His mom is full fledged JW. She wont even celebrate Thanksgiving. She is now trying to turn our fave Aunt into becoming one..and she has already had a study and went to the meeting last Sunday. She is the Aunt that always has a big to-do on Xmas. Kids..grandkids..crafts..food and loads of fun.
He is the one more worried about people seeing the tree. I just want to be prepared for when/if they do.

i think it says a lot about the type of person you are, or at least what kind of sense of humor you have, if you liked this movie or hated it.. so far, i've not met anyone who has been neutral on this movie - usually they either love it or hated it!

I have always wanted a big christmas tree but since i was a full fledged JW till 5 yrs ago I never had one.
I just last year was able to get a small table top tree for christmas. It was nice..but mainly hideable if Jw parents or in-laws or just door-knockers stopped by. I now want a 4.5 ft one..it needs to fit all the ornaments.Not to mention all the presents.
My brother suggests me saying if anyone we don't want to see it does.."Telling them 'I am no longer one of Jehovahs Witnesses' should do it"
I am sure it would..but it would also bring up a big discussion. He thinks i am trying to soft sell it to them. And maybe I am. I know I am gonna need alot of info in my head that day to back up my decisions to them. I want to go for the.. almost everything has a pagan origin and since its no big deal anymore..this (xmas) isn't a big deal to me anymore. And..so many things are just WRONG with the JWs beliefs and actions..etc I just can't hold onto the blind belief that no matter what i read or how much proof i find.. that JWs are always right.
Can you guys help me? I don't want to just ..Stab them in the heart and say.. thats how it is..deal with it.

i start my next 10 classes next monday night.. i have almost finished designing a board game.

My husband left this morning for a 4 day hang out w/ the guys at the Nascar races.
My 1yr baby boy should start walking any day now!
I am having a garage sale at my parents house this weekend.
Friday evening my brother and I are going to hang out together somewhere. With no kids!
I am on the Slim-Fast diet and i am splurging for Pizza for lunch since there isn't much quicky food to fix unless I want PB&J. (BTW i weighed 170 after my 2nd and 3rd child and now I am staying at 163!!) Still at least 10 more to go.
Today I mad dashed around the house to remove the last Halloween deco since my M-I-L was stopping by.
Tonight I get a special treat. Since hubby is gone.. I get to have my two girls sleep in my bed with me.

The Genesis contradiction

I mentioned this to my dad to see what he came up with. He mentions that Tongue,lang,dialect is also just like saying Canadians speak English.. just a different dialect. Basicly that when it said different tongue according to nation was still Hebrew but a different dialect or accent. So no contradiction still one lang untill God changed it at the Tower of Babel.
What is your take on this?
