I have the 2001 WT CD and it says:
***
dp chap. 7 pp. 100-101 Four Words That Changed the World ***No enemy had taken Babylon by storm in over a thousand years
.
i was trying to sum up the changes made in the different versions of the book, and just to make sure, i checked with the 2004 cd-rom to see that page 102 really said "hundred years" in stead of "thousand years" as for the period during which babylon had not been conquered.. but, the cd-version of the book - which ought to be the latest updated version - says "thousand years" .......... so please enlighten me, what is it to be, the first version reads "thousand", but has this been changed to "hundred" in later versions, but then back again into "thousand" in the final version?

at the link below there is a discussion of the great crowd in rev 7:15. .
i would like to ask if anyone could please take a look and offer a critique to that material.. .

Sad emo,
Thanks for your comments.
Q. You ask if this shows that they aren't a separate class.
A. Both discussion of similarities with the book of Numbers and the book of Isaiah identify the following distinct groups:
1. First the 144,000 group
2. Second the Great Crowd group
These are separate groups, both in Revelation and also in Numbers and Isaiah.
Q. You also ask about 'naos' and 'hieron'.
A. The article suggests that both groups will serve in 'naos'
- First group, Israel will become a nation of priests and will serve in the Most Holy (or Holy of Holies)
- Second group, Levites will also serve at the temple, but in the Holy Place.
Please feel free to share any other comments, questions, concerns ..etc.

The purpose of the discussion above is:
- To prove that the 'Great Crowd' represents the 'Levites'.
1. Similarities between Numbers 1:44-50 and Rev 7:9-15 prove that the Great Crowd from Revelation represents the Levites in the OT.
Then
2. Similarities between Isaiah 61, 66 and Revelation 7 prove that the Great Crowd from Revelation represents the foreigners who become Levites.
If anyone has any input or questions, please feel free to share.
Thanks, martorii.
i am trying to figure this one out.
okay i can understand that 1914 comes from some crazy equation so it can be argued that it was fixed in the bible.
those arent figured using any calculation or interpretatons of the bible are they?
I think they count 3 1/2 years from the end of 1914 and get to 1918. Then after the release from prison of WT members in 1919 they compared that with the 2 witnesses from Rev 11 coming to life again.
.
i am suddenly curious as to the nationalities of current and previous gb members.
can any of our archivists help?
One of them I think is from Austria, Gerit Leosch

Hello all,
At the link below there is a discussion of the ‘Great Crowd’ in Rev 7:15.
I would like to ask if anyone could please take a look and offer a critique to that material.

Below is a summary of the article from the link mentioned above:
Similarities between Numbers 1:44-50 and Rev 7:9-15
1. In Numbers: We are told the number of the12 tribes of ancient Israel.
- In Revelation: We have 144,000 out of 12 tribes of Israel
2. In Numbers: Then the prohibition that Levites are not to be numbered.
- In Revelation: We have a Great Crowd that no man is able to number
3. In Numbers: The Levites have their dresses washed in order to do work at the temple
- In Revelation: Great Crowd washed their robes to serve in his temple
Similarities between Isaiah 61, 66 and Revelation 7
Is 61:5,6 A remnant, from all 12 tribes of Israel will be called priests of God
- In Revelation: 12,000 out of an entire tribe suggests a remnant
Is 66:21 And foreigners will serve them as Levites.
- In Revelation: Great Crowd is not from the tribes of Israel, therefore foreigners
hey, you big boys in brooklyn.
you read this board.
i have yet another challenge for you.
Farkel,
Do you challenge the WT on any specific subjects or on all of them in general?
i am thinking of taking on a jw with the 607 question.
my problem is that i dont really understand the whole thing.
has there been a post in the past that tells how to argue it?
Alwayshere,
You talked about nations serving the king of Babylon for seventy years, but you still didn't say anything about the specific expression in Daniel: "the devastations of Jerusalem, [namely] seventy years"
And I'm not trying to support the WT organization, but simply trying to understand an explanation of Dan 9:2.
.
i was trying to fade, and thought i had done so successfully for the past 18months.. i have just received a call from my dad saying it will be announced tomorrow that i have been disfellowshipped... can they do this???.
chok.
I heard that in March of this year there was a new book 'Organized to accomplish our ministry'. Actually a new edition, replacing the old one. And according to instructions in this new book, the elders can disfellowship a member without a commettee
