  my in-laws still attend meetings and defend the faith to the best of their limited ability.

  i saw limited, as their understanding of the faith ended somewhere around the 1980's and when you bring up new understanding, they think it might be apostate and do not listen.

  there not alone, trust me, several witnesses do not grasp the changes.

  i remember all the young kids with cool parents got to sit in the top rows. Then there was a talk about that and they started blocking off the top rows.

  If I still had to go now, I would bring my video ipod. They're easy to disguise.

  hi my name is alex and i was born in the truth and...i'm still in it.......i'm 15 and openly gay well at least at schooland to all my friends some who are also jw's well the reason for posting this is i wanted to knw if there were any other gay people here......if anyone wants to email me its [email protected].

  i want like advice on how i should deal with this cause sometimes i feel this oppression(dont knw if i spelled that right) on being gay and also being a j.w theres this i'm not sure how to explain it....like you knw that when people in your congregation find out the ones you know all ur life are going to hate u cause ur gay............this i guess just makes me feel really sad........ kind of hoping that this made some sorta sence.................... i suck at spelling so if i miss spelled something sorry@_@

  Remember, the Supreme Court which gave you your recent victories is a majority conservative court, and a majority Catholic court at that!

  I would check that. Liberal (4/5) Stevens, Souter, Ginsberg, Breyer (kennedy a swing)

  Conservative (3/4) Robers, Scalia, Thomas (Alito but he has voted with the other side a few times)

  Hey

  I came out to myself around 15 and then was forced into coming out to my parents at 16. Oy vey! I remember the elders meetings and all that other bull crap. It was a really shaky time. The one good benefit of coming from a broken some is that I was able to move in with my dad who is a non-practicing catholic.

  It is hard to come to terms with when people that acted like your friends for so many years decide to hate you because of one little thing. Although the news may be rough for many of them, your true friends will shine through and will love you no matter who you are.

  i got a phone call today from one of my former lovers.

  she told me that she was with a man that was close to death, because he caught hiv and he didn't tell her.

  anyways, i'm about to get tested tomorrow, april 1. pray that i test negative.

  Actually we should all be sending negative thoughts.. since a postive test result would be bad....

  But overall it's good that you're getting tested. Everyone should. But I wouldn't worry too much. But maybe it should scare you enough to wear a condom next time you are doing this with someone.

  Obviously the person infected didn't take care of themselves either. If they are close to death they haven't been treated. Nowadays if it is caught early enough you can still live quite awhile. Look at Magic Johnson

  Tell him the beauty of living in America is that you have the freedom to be ignorant if you want to be. It sounds bad but it's one of the greatest freedoms. You have no obligation to know about history or civics if you choose not to. You have a right to know more about American Idol. True knowledge is power but it's your choice.

  I woke this AM screaming at the elder body

  now i am having nightmares with sharp words...to beat down those controling elders.. its all because of the memorial.

  so i told my wife this morning how it is....and its not worth it for me to have nightmares fighting with the elders and planning an attack on them.

  that is one night i don't want to make a scene.

  In elementary school I remember my mom driving my the junior high school and she told me that I wouldn't have to worry about going there. Well technically she was right. We moved a couple years later and I went to another junior high school.

  I couldn't access this thread till today. Don't know why it wasn't updating.

  I work at a property management company. Unfortunately, the person who admited to doing it is the girl's cousin who is also the owner's daughter. So it gets a little tricky when you mix family, business, and career women. Hahaha!
