Do you look better or worse

the other day i was looking at some old photos of my wife as a young witless teen.

several of the pictures were taking at assemblies and gatherings/weddings.. what amazed me is that she looks better today than she did as a witless teen or early twenties.

i don't mean just the expression on her face, but also the way she was dressed.

A million times better. I think it partly has to do with self-confidence. The better you feel about yourself, the better you look to other people.

Wild After Hours Office Parties :-(

so i come in like i usually do, go to my desk and do my work.

anyway, i go upstairs cause i was told there might be some food left from a party they started at 4..

anyway, i run up and as soon as i open the door, the smell of cigarette smoke and beer blasts my face.

Do You Ever Have Dreams About Being A JW?

i had one disconcerting dream last night.

i was in a very large assembly hall and explosions started occuring and rather than wanting to leave everyone stayed and chatted like whatever was happening out there was not going to affect them inside.

they were all very smug.

OMG, I had a dream last night. I was visiting my parents and they invited the elder's over. For some reason my friends were with me and we just hid out in my room and drank champagne. But I woke up wondering if they are planning on doing something like that when I visit in April. Better stock up on champagne.

What Things Did You Think Were "Demonized"?

everything, when i was growing up was connected to "demonism".

handwriting analysis was borderline.

wind chimes would bring the demons right to your porch!

Not sure if I told this story before, but here's another go:

I remember I used to do a lot of creative writing back in High School. One time I wrote a story and it involved some kids going to a party that had drinking and a ouija board. I showed it to one of my friends in the hall to read. I was so proud of myself. Well my friend showed another friend and it went out from there. One day after a meeting a MS who was supposedly the "cool one" who was young and would hang out with all the young people pulls me aside and starts counseling me on my writing. "You should only write about things christians would do." I was floored.

It had such a negative impact. I stopped writing creatively for years. It wasn't until about a year ago when I had to write for school that I fell in love with writing again.

In some cases, it was theorized that the Y was overshadowed by environmental influences.

If this was the case, how would you explain lesbians.

I always wonder why truthseeker is always posting stuff about homosexuality on this board. It's always interesting when someone takes more interest in the topic who is not directly effected than someone who is.

Fred Phelps is like that. Makes me wonder about him. The guy is a total nutcase. His recent sermons say that god is killing soldiers in Iraq because our nation harbors homosexuals. HAHAHA! He probably would be shocked to see how much he and the extremist muslims have in common.

Genetics can be very interesting. I really don't know where my homosexuality came from. My mother is the only girl out of 12 children. I would assume all of her brothers are hetrosexual (married with kids) but that always isn't conclusive evidence that someone's hetro. I have two brothers, both are hetro.

As far as environmental factors. We lived in the middle of Connecticut. No gay scene there. The funny thing is that I know of 5 people in my graduating class of 80 that turned out to be gay/lesbian. We had a chemical plant in town so there's a running joke that there was something in the water.

Going to the Circuit Ass this weekend

need some suggestions on what i can do mentally, or physically if applicable, to pass the time.

i actually thought of having another kid just so i'd have an excuse to walk around and not listen to the crap but of course they dont announce the assemblies 9 mos in advance normally.

any ideas?

Sudoku!! That's always fun.

Or if you want more of a challenge try Kakuro. They usually have a variety of books at your local Borders or Barnes and Noble.

I used to try to get coat room duty during the assembly so I wouldn't have to sit around and try to stay awake.
