What's The Worst Personality Trait Or Negative Quality A Person Can Have???
by minimus ini can put up with a lot of things.
but i avoid people who are "users".
you know the type....always taking, never giving, always looking to take advantage of someone......and i don't like liars all that much either.

I'm shocked no one mentioned back stabbers/betrayers. People who waste your time earning your trust only to use everything you said/did against you. There was a girl in my office at one point (I think I ranted about her a few times awhile back) and she would find every opportunity to turn me in. It also happened in the congregation. As a teenager I wrote a short story and in it there was a typical teenage party (booze, etc etc) and I showed it to my friend. He told an elder who had a young MS talk to me about what I should and shouldn't write. LMAO

Mad Apostate's Letter Worked, An Update

Thanks everyone again!! For those who don't know my story. I was baptized at 15. It's the same story as everyone (peer, parent, and elder pressure). I used their logic. I said something about if Jehovah can see into the hearts and minds of people then he knew I was never a witness and that the baptism meant nothing to him. I also asked my mom how many decisions would she let a 15 year old make.
At the end of the letter I took part of mad apostate's letter. I found it on here somewhere. Actually the post I found it from was written by Mulan. I have limited post formatting skills on this mac eeerrr but i think the link is: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/18983/1.ashx
But I'm waiting to see what her letter contains before I start my victory parade. -

Yeah, those damn French Canadian Catholic families. My dad has 8 brothers and sisters. I think my grandmother (mom's mom) has 11 or 12 siblings. Crazy!
I think she told the elders because her phone call wasn't until 3 o'clock her time which is enough time after the Watchtower study to facilitate a meeting. That would also explain why she has stipulations (commandments from the elders hahaha). I'm know everything is not back to normal but at least it's a step in the right direction. -

Wooo!!! Guess who called me today. My mom! I wrote her a really heartfelt letter that explained several things I don't agree with that the WTS does. I also explained that my baptism is completely null and void because my heart was never really there and that I was just trying to please my friends/family/elders. I reasoned that as they teach, Jehovah can see your heart condition, then he knew I was never really baptized. I then concluded with the bottom half of the mad apostate's letter to let them know they can not make any announcements etc etc.
It worked!! She called me and said I'm not going to be disfellowshipped or disassociated. She is also, not cutting me off because she likes talking with me. She said she's sending me a letter to stipulate the things that are off limits in our future conversations (probably religious stuff). I asked her if I could make a "counter-offer" after receiving her letter and she said "yes". We'll see what happens. I also think she's received a lot of pressure from the rest of her family that's non-JW (my brother, her mom and her 11 brothers). -

Cool post. I always try to compromise with creationists and say that maybe evolution is a tool the creator uses to create and develop. Sometimes it works but it usually leads to an "agree to disagree" which is better than an argument.
As far as global warming. We certainly could use some here in LA today!! It's freezing!!! (53 degrees) I have no problem doing my part. I hate seeing trucks and busses spewing nasty black smoke. The problem I have, is when countries like India and China double their pollution for everything I cut back. -

Sensational news in my Cong!
by Zico ini've just found out something that's going to be a massive thing in my congregation when it gets out.
it all starts with a former jw, who faded away probably about a decade ago, and then moved away, came out as a homosexual a few years ago.
he was never baptised, and he left so long ago, he never got chased up or disfellowshipped.

probably not with the intention of causing trouble for the MS,
HAHAHA!! Come on. I know as a former JW if I had dirt on someone still in my "spilling the beans" would always be done with a purpose.

emotional blackmail.
I used that in a letter I wrote to my mom last night. It's certainly not a Christian tool yet the JWs love to use it. You either choose us or them. I don't have any experience with marriage so I can't offer advice but here's a hug anyway.

All I know is I don't remember before I was born. So even if I "move on" after I die. I don't think I'll remember this either. If creature has a soul that is immortal, then a lot of people must be turning into cocroaches for their next life.
